Digital Spy's expanded spoilers are now available:

    Mon 5th Aug

    https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/nei...ver-ellys-job/

Elly's return to work proves to be challenging, as smart-alec student Richie taunts her with jibes about how she bought alcohol for Dean. Elly keeps him in line, but fears the rumours about her issues with Dean will circulate from students to the larger school community and cause a greater problem.

Chloe worries about the additional stress this is causing Elly and the baby and confronts Richie, taking him down a peg in front of his mates. Fighting back, Richie kicks things up a notch by buying alcohol for his mates and drinking on campus.

Elly handles the incident, but when she learns that Chloe had a word with Richie, she is frustrated by the unwanted intervention. Chloe is disheartened, feeling she may have blown her chances with Elly.

Later, Yashvi and Ned give their account of Chloe's confrontation with Richie and it paints Elly a different picture. It was a bold display of loyalty, and the incident gives Elly pause – maybe deep down she doesn't mind the idea of Chloe watching her back.

Meanwhile, it's the Grand Opening of Erinsborough's newest bar and diner – "The 82". Serving upmarket Australian pies and classy cocktails, the neighbourhood gathers to get a glimpse of the quirky new hotspot. But Gary is sour at being shunned from the event, and just as Kyle and Karl prepare to cut the ribbon, Gary hijacks the moment and makes a drunken fool out of himself.

Sheila has hidden the crowbar in her recycling bin while she thinks about the next course of action. But her jittery behavior is clocked by Harlow. Roxy's nerves are also frayed, seemingly feeling the pressure after learning her testimony will be heavily relied on in Paul's case against Gary.

Terese still struggles to completely believe that Gary was behind the attack, causing friction between her and Paul. Worried, Harlow follows her instincts that Sheila is hiding something to settle the case once and for all. Harlow uncovers the crowbar, immediately calling it into the police.

The opening of The 82 is interrupted again as Mark arrives on official police business – to bring Sheila to the station for questioning. Roxy is relieved that her eyewitness account is not the only evidence being used to implicate Gary, but her guilt is piqued – it's looking more and more likely that Gary's about to go down for a crime she knows he didn't commit. When she calls in the real culprit – Vance – it becomes clear it's him she has been covering for all along.

The whole sordid truth comes out about Paul's assault as we learn that Vance was the one who bashed him. Vance mistook what he saw between Paul and Roxy as Paul being lecherous and wanted to teach Paul a lesson he'd never forget.

Seeing that Roxy's guilt is making her waver and want to retract her statement about Gary, Vance decides they need to leave town immediately. However, Roxy's guilt gets the better of her and she calls the cops on Vance. She has done the right thing, despite her own heartbreak. Will this be the catalyst that brings her back into the family bosom?

Meanwhile, things between Kyle and Amy become even more complicated, with each longing for the other while also holding onto a steadfast belief that Gary is innocent of attacking Paul. Amy has made it clear she's putting off breaking up with Gary until he's in the clear, but Kyle is less and less convinced this is going to be a happily ever after.

When Gary is finally let off the hook due to Vance's arrest, he's effusive in his thanks to both Amy and Kyle for being his biggest supporters. A betrayal of Gary's trust now seems in terrible taste and, needing a friendly ear, Kyle finds himself confiding in Pierce.

Pierce agrees the situation is complicated and suggests that even if Amy ended her relationship with Gary and hooked up with Kyle, she would still have feelings for Gary. The fact is, she's in love with two people. Feeling like there's no way this will end well, Kyle makes a shock move, going to Amy to 'admit' he doesn't love her.

    Wed 7th Aug

    https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/nei...inal-decision/

Amy is stunned by Kyle's admission that he's not in love with her, but Kyle holds firm. He suggests that Amy should stay with Gary – Kyle can't give her the same level of commitment and devotion that he can. Amy is heartbroken but after speaking with Elly, who suggests Kyle is telling the truth, and seeing how invested Gary is in their relationship, she starts to wonder if she actually wants to break up with Gary after all.

Not realising that Kyle is lying and is bowing out of the love triangle despite wanting a future with her, Amy decides to recommit to Gary. She suggests they move their wedding forward, much to Gary's delight, as an unhappy Kyle is left reaping what he has sown.

Meanwhile, as rumours about Elly's situation with Dean Mahoney and his mother continue to fly around the high school, the parents start wanting answers. Elly knows she has to face this head-on and asks Dipi to organise a PTA meeting to address everyone's concerns.

At the meeting, Elly is open about being blackmailed by Dean and admits to changing his grade and almost buying him booze. She hopes to put this behind her as it has already been dealt with by the Department, but is caught off guard by a very aggressive mother. She's further confronted when this parent announces she is pulling her daughter out of Erinsborough High. Despite Karl suggesting this might blow over, Elly wonders if this is just the beginning.

Elsewhere, when Toadie realises that Nell hasn't started a school project, he takes it upon himself to do it for her. Dee's amused to find him up to his ears in crafting supplies and offers to help.

They have a great time cutting, pasting and gluing, but Toadie catches himself having almost too good a time and feels guilty. Sympathetic, Shane suggests he give himself a break – it's not a crime to have fun – and Toadie takes his advice on board.

Dee and Toadie are thrilled at the finished product but are thrown into a tailspin when it goes missing. They realise Clancy has buried it and when they dig up the model, it's ruined. They have to start again! It's a loaded moment as they discuss the meaning of going for Round 2... The heat builds between them, leading to a kiss. Will these two finally give it a shot?

    Thurs 8th Aug

    https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/nei...bye-to-toadie/

Any hope for a new beginning is quickly dashed when Toadie and Dee's unexpected kiss begins to flood Toadie with memories of everything that has come before. His marriage to Dee, his life with Sonya, the manipulations of Andrea. It all becomes too much and Toadie panics, fleeing the house and leaving Dee deeply regretful.

By the time Toadie returns home, a confused and guilty Dee has done what she felt was best and returned to Byron Bay. Desperate to make things right, he tracks Dee down and seizes his chance to clear the air. Although disappointed, Dee concedes neither of them are ready for anything to happen between them, as she too has a lot of things to work through.

The pair say a heartbreaking goodbye, both hopeful that somewhere down the road, the stars will align and they will meet again when they're ready.

Meanwhile, after triggering Bea's memories of Patrick whilst on their date, Finn is finding it increasingly difficult to navigate their complicated relationship. When his anxiety begins to get in the way of them taking their relationship to the next level, he seeks counsel from a slightly wary David.

Yashvi suggests Bea do something to help Finn focus on the present and remember that he isn't the person he once was. Bea concocts a cheeky strip-tease game to help them say goodbye to the past. It successfully sends them on their way to the bedroom, but they later emerge to discover their discarded clothes have vanished. Bea and Finn are left thoroughly unsettled at the thought that someone has been lurking in the Kennedy house.

Elsewhere, Elly reaches out to apologise to Chloe for snapping at her. Knowing Chloe was only acting out of loyalty, Elly is keen for them to get their friendship back on track and they arrange to meet for brunch. Chloe goes above and beyond to ensure it's a special occasion, but the positive mood is thwarted when Elly is called back to work to handle a student's withdrawal from the school.

Pierce confronts Chloe about her sudden lack of interest in him, and quickly realises it's because Chloe's feelings for Elly have been reignited. He warns her that she's riding for a fall, but Chloe is determined to prove him wrong.

Faced with a lacklustre Acting Principal, Elly is forced to come up with a game plan that will stop the wave of students being pulled out of school. Although Elly's confidence takes a hit, Chloe is able to buoy her and inspire Elly to keep fighting.

Dipi and Terese provide Elly an insight on who she's really up against: Angela Lane. After taking her own child out of school, Angela has been emailing other parents encouraging them to do the same, in protest against Elly.

Elly is confident she can nip their problem in the bud but there's a curveball coming Elly's way – the Acting Principal has called Susan and alerted her to the situation and now Susan has decided to come home and handle this herself. Elly is dismayed as she's instructed to do nothing and wait for Susan's return.

Meanwhile, after witnessing an intimate moment between Chloe and Elly, Aaron is alarmed. It looks like Chloe and Elly are heading down a familiarly dangerous path that could jeopordise the peace that has emerged for the Brennans. Concerned, Aaron warns Chloe that Mark is still fragile and she ought to tell him how she's feeling to prevent him from being blindsided.

Fearful of the reaction, Chloe asks how Mark would feel if she did pursue something more. The question hangs heavy on Mark, but in an act of ultimate generosity, he gives Chloe a blessing of sorts.

Aware that Chloe's life is on a different timeline, Mark decides he can't stand in the way of any happiness she wants to go after, despite how hard it might be for him to stomach. Moved by her brother's support, Chloe gears herself up to take the plunge and ask Elly how she'd feel about moving beyond friendship.

Elsewhere, Bea and Finn are still puzzled over who took their clothes. When Ned hears about the missing items, his reflex to protect Bea kicks in. Yashvi is dismayed by the display until Ned checks himself and backs down. But things become more sinister with mysterious phone calls, and an unwelcome intruder – Alfie creeps into the Kennedy backyard to steal more of Finn's clothes.

Thwarted by Bea's presence, Alfie tries to get out unnoticed, but Bea sees him and tackles him to the ground. Alfie reveals he is intent on studying Finn's every move in order to get the full story out there. Bea fears going to the police about this would lead to the truth about Finn's assault of Alfie coming out – and she can't afford to risk that.

Stymied, and desperately needing back up, Bea reaches out to the one person she believes can help her – Ned. Aware of his promise to Yashvi not to overinvest in Bea's problems, Ned is torn. Bea clearly needs his help, but can he be the one to give it?
