Cain has so far remained unaware that his married sister, Chas (Lucy Pargeter), has been having an affair with local businessman, Al.

In fact, Chas missed her own mum Faith's passing because she was fooling around with secret lover, Al, at a hotel.

But shortly after Faith's funeral, Cain notices a tense atmosphere between Chas and her son, Aaron (Danny Miller).

Then Cain accidentally stumbles upon Chas's secret burner phone, which she has been using to make secret calls to Al!

After reading a string of messages between Chas and a MYSTERY man, Cain decides to take steps to find out the man's identity...

Cain uses the phone to set a trap... and later that day comes face-to-face with Al at a barn!

Armed with a shotgun, how far will Cain go to show his utter comtempt for the affair?

And will Chas realise she has been rumbled before things totally get out of hand between hated village rivals, Cain and Al?

Elsewhere, Aaron has packed his bag and is ready to leave the village again after tragic times for the Dingle family.

Aaron says his goodbyes to father figure Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt) and family relative, Vinny (Bradley Johnson).

Chas is desperate to know just how much Aaron has let slip about her affair with Al.

But disgusted by her ongoing behaviour, Aaron makes it clear that he has nothing more to say to Chas.

Will things really end on such a sour note between mum and son?

    Tuesday

Kerry is trying to convince family friend, Chloe Harris (Jessie Elland), to stick around in the village.

But Chloe can't face living in such close proximity to Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb), who she had a drunken one-night stand with.

To make matters worse, Chloe has now discovered she is PREGNANT!

She's ready to pack her bags and start over away from the village in Leeds.

As Kerry continues to try and stop Chloe from running away, the ladies are shocked to hear the crack of a gunshot sound from the direction of Butler's Farm!

    But WHO has been shot?

WHAT will Kerry and Chloe discover at the scene?

In the meantime, what has happened in the aftermath of the barn showdown between Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) and Al Chapman (Michael Wildman)?

Cain went gunning for Al, after discovering the local businessman has been having an affair with Cain's married sister, Chas (Lucy Pargeter)!

Which won't be welcome news to Kerry either, who hoped she had finally found her Mr Right and previously popped the question to Al in the middle of The Woolpack!

    Wednesday

Dawn's mother figure, Harriet Finch, died after a terrible quad bike accident in the woods during the severe weather.

But Harriet loved Dawn like her own daughter and has left the couple some money in her will.

Unfortunately, the money isn't enough to help Dawn and Billy keep their current home.

And they are daunted by the prospect of becoming homeless!

However, on tonight's episode of the ITV soap, the couple are determined to find a way to buy Woodbine Cottage.

After all, it was originally Harriet's home and she would want them to have it.

Unfortunately, as Dawn and Billy start forming a plan, her troublesome ex, Alex Moore (Liam Boyle) is back on the scene...

Dawn's ex-boyfriend, Alex, who is also the estranged father of both son Lucas and daughter Clemmie, is out of prison!

He reckons Dawn owes him big time after she secretly recorded his dodgy doings and got him put behind bars earlier this year.

Alex starts sniffing around and threatens to take away daughter Clemmie, unless Dawn and Billy hand over the money that Harriet left them in her will!

Will Dawn and Billy give into Alex's demands?

Or can they find a way to send the bad lad packing again?

    Thursday

Kim Tate (played by Claire King) does not take kindly to threats made against her family on Emmerdale

So when the bosslady of Home Farm finds out that her stepdaughter, Dawn Taylor (Olivia Bromley) is being blackmailed by her bad boy ex, Alex Moore (Liam Boyle), she decides to get involved on tonight's ONE HOUR helping of the ITV soap.

Fresh-out-of-prison Alex is demanding that Dawn and her husband, Billy Fletcher (Jay Kontzle), hand over the money that the late Harriet Finch left them in her will.

In exchange for the money, Alex will go away and let Dawn and Billy play happy families with his two unwanted children, Lucas and Clemmie.

But Alex gets more than he bargained for when he's bundled into the boot of a car... and then finds himself held captive by Kim and her new husband, Will Taylor (Dean Andrews) in the stables at Home Farm!

Kim is impressed as Will lets his fists do the talking, and makes it very clear that Alex is to leave his daughter, Dawn, alone...

Meanwhile, the aftermath of the severe storm continues as the day of Harriet's funeral arrives.

One-time village vicar Harriet was killed after a quad bike explosion, while searching the woods for pregnant Amelia Spencer (Daisy Campbell).

Both Harriet's boyfriend, Dan Spencer (Liam Fox) and his daughter Amelia, have been left devastated by her death.

Amelia, who later gave birth to a baby girl in hospital after being rescued from the storm by Lydia Dingle (Karen Blick), makes a heartfelt speech in honour of Harriet.

Dan is touched by the tribute and luckily remains blissfully unaware that Harriet made a play for her ex, Will, shortly before he married Kim...

Elsewhere, Laurel Thomas (Charlotte Bellamy) is shocked by Bernice Blackstock's (Samantha Giles) callous attitude towards Dan.

    WHAT is Bernice's problem?
