Last week, viewers saw Cain, threaten businessman Al with a shotgun inside a barn at Butler's Farm.

Cain was not happy after he discovered his married sister, Chas (Lucy Pargeter), had been carrying on an affair with Al for months.

There was a struggle for the weapon... and then a gunshot was heard!

On tonight's episode of the ITV soap, Cain feels helpless while his wife, Moira (Natalie J Robb), is heartbroken over the turn of events...

WHAT do you think is gonna happen?

    Get watching to find out!

Coming so soon after the death of Cain and his Chas's mum, Faith, how much more drama and heartbreak can the Dingle family deal with?

    Tuesday

Last month, Nate hooked-up with his ex-girlfriend, Tracy Metcalfe (Amy Walsh), shortly after she moved back to the village with their baby daughter, Frankie.

It appears that Tracy does still have some unresolved feelings for Nate, even though he previously cheated on her with Fiona, who was then dating Tracy's sister, Vanessa Woodfield (Michelle Hardwick)!

Is Nate now looking for another chance to play happy families with Tracy and Frankie?

Nate puts his current relationship on the line, when he decides to confess to Naomi that he slept with Tracy!

Needless to say, Naomi is not at all happy to discover that Nate is a total LOVE CHEAT!

Is this the end for Nate and Naomi?

With Naomi's trial about to get underway, Manpreet Sharma (Rebecca Sarker) tries to do Naomi's worried dad, Charles Anderson (Kevin Mathurin), a favour.

Manpreet approaches Nicola King (Nicola Wheeler) and tries to manipulate her into speaking favourably about Naomi in court.

However, Nicola's reaction quickly has Manpreet regretting her actions and worrying that she has just made a bad situation even worse!

Nicola has waited weeks to seek justice against the girl gang who assaulted her at a car park.

Naomi was hanging out with the gang but still insists she did not attack Nicola.

With plenty of bad blood between the King and Anderson families, is Nicola likely to suddenly change her opinion of Naomi in court?

Kim Tate (Claire King) and her new husband, Will Taylor (Dean Andrews), took desperate measures when his daughter, Dawn (Olivia Bromley), was threatened by her ex, Alex Moore.

Kim is happy that she's managed to get her family back together again.

Dawn and her husband, Billy Fletcher (Jay Kontzle), are in for a surprise when Kim offers them a FREE place to live!

    Will the couple accept?

    Wednesday

Although Nicola is nervous about coming face-to-face again with the girl gang who previously attacked her at a car park, she wants to see justice served.

After all, Nicola's life became a living nightmare in the aftermath of the attack and she suffered with PTSD.

The situation hasn't been made any easier by Nicola's discovery that Naomi Walters (Karene Peter), daughter of village vicar Charles Anderson (Kevin Mathurin), was involved with the nasty girl gang.

Although Nicola and Charles sort-of shared a moment of peace, while trapped together during the recent storm, Nicola is still ready to do whatever it takes to put the guilty culprits behind bars!

    And that includes Naomi...

As the trial begins, Naomi is blindsided when bad girl Saskia's (Sarah-Kay Sweeney) barrister argues that Naomi has deliberately dragged Saskia and the other defendants into the case as payback, after the girls previously had a bust-up over money.

With the other gang members clearly trying to shift the blame onto her, Naomi begins to see that the evidence is being stacked against her.

There could be a chance she might end up going to prison for a crime she didn't commit...

Meanwhile, Nicola takes the stand, determined to have her say and look her attackers in the eyes.

But she's left furious after Naomi's barrister appeals to the jury that Nicola's case against the teenager lacks credible evidence!

As the trial continues, Nicola is fuming over the injustice of it all.

WHAT will she do if the girl gang is released without charge?

    Thursday

Unfortunately, on tonight's ONE HOUR airing of the ITV soap, Naomi could still pay the price for a crime she didn't commit...

As the trial continues, Naomi has an encounter with manipulative bad girl, Saskia (Sarah Kay-Sweeney) in the court toilets.

Saskia claims Naomi still owes her money.

She threatens to drag Naomi's family, including her village vicar dad Charles Anderson (Kevin Mathurin), into the proceedings unless Naomi agrees to change her version of what happened the day Nicola was attacked at the car park...

Naomi has previously been running scared of what scheming Saskia is capable of.

But will she allow herself to be bullied into telling lies on the stand?

When Naomi takes the stand, the defence barrister gives her a hard time during a cross examination.

As the pressure builds, Naomi breaks down in upset and outrage, and tells the court all about Saskia's threats!

    But will anyone believe Naomi?

Or is she already too deeply implicated in the serious crime against Nicola?

Meanwhile, Nicola is feeling exhausted with the whole experience.

Is justice going to be served?

Or is Nicola's nightmare far from over?

Back in the village, long love could be blossoming.

    Or possibly not!

Cathy Hope (Gabrielle Dowling) has a plan to play Cupid between April Windsor (Amelia Flanagan) and Arthur Thomas (Alfie Clarke) at the village cafe.

Unfortunately, things don't go quite as planned...

April is left hurt and humiliated when Cathy's plan backfires and Arthur bolts from the cafe to go and do his homework!

    Poor April!

    Friday

Chas knows she can't turn back time.

But after all the recent drama and turmoil for the Dingle family, Chas is determined to try and make amends.

Chas reveals to cousin, Mandy Dingle (Lisa Riley), that she has finally dropped Faith's ashes off at the factory.

It turns out that Faith had a dying wish to become a firework!

Faith may be gone but it looks like she's soon destined to light-up the night sky!

Meanwhile, Vinny Dingle (Bradley Johnson) has collected the ashes of his late wife, Liv, who was killed when a terrible storm struck the village last month.

There was a DOUBLE funeral for both Faith and Liv, with two horse drawn carriages carrying their coffins into the village.

Vinny's was touched when he witnessed the entire village come out to pay their respects on the day of the funeral.

"We knew when we decided to do a joint funeral for Faith and Liv that it would need to be a very special and memorable funeral for two such hugely epic and much loved characters," says Emmerdale producer Laura Shaw. "Having a scene featuring the entire adult cast was not something we had done before and given the funeral was taking place towards the end of our October 50th birthday month, it felt very right and fitting that we had the whole cast there to say goodbye."

But now the sad reality begins to hit Vinny that Liv is gone and never coming back.

Can Vinny, with the help of his new canine companion Chip, find a way to get through his grief?
