Ever wanted to work in the fast-paced TV industry (or just have a sneaky look at how it all goes down)?

Well, now's your chance, as Hollyoaks' production company Lime Pictures has opened an internship scheme.

The in-house initiative – known as 'Lime Interns' – is now open for applications and provides nine budding creatives with nine months' paid work experience in a production department of your choosing at the company's Liverpool base.

Available departments include visual effects, music, camera, sound, scheduling, make-up, costume, scenic design and story.

Joint managing directors Kate Little and Claire Poyser said in a statement: "We are immensely proud of Lime Pictures' history of discovering and nurturing exceptional individuals both on and off screen, and we are committed to making the industry accessible to all.

"Our intern programme delivers meaningful on-the-job training that enables the successful candidates to acquire knowledge and experience in their chosen specialist area, as well as allowing them to develop a broader understanding of the wide range of roles and responsibilities within TV".

For all those readers chomping at the bit for this opportunity, applications must be submitted by Friday, July 5 – which can be filled out via https://www.limepictures.com/join-us
