Actress Christie Whelan-Browne (The Wrong Girl, Wonderland) will guest on Neighbours.

She will play Scarlett Brady, a complex individual, a die-hard romantic and master manipulator.

With a troubled and complicated childhood behind her, she lands in Erinsborough with a hidden agenda, and a severe and concerning obsession with one of Ramsay Streets favourites.

In a twist of irony, Whelan-Browne is also being sued by former Neighbours star Craig McLachlan, but the case has been postponed.

She will make her debut on Neighbours in September 2019.

There has been loads happening in Erinsborough over the last few months that has kept the residents of Ramsay Street very busy. But, it’s only going to get busier!

Jemma Donovan, daughter of Neighbours patriarch Jason Donovan, has arrived and is about to make her on screen debut next month.

And did we mention the six TV Week Logie nominations the show and some of the cast received? Yep, six!

The excitement continues to grow as one of Australia’s most versatile stage and screen performers heads to Ramsay Street.

Christie Whelan Browne is about to make her mark on Australia’s longest running soap, Neighbours, in a guest role.

An award-winning actress who has been entertaining Australian audiences for many years both in the theatre and on our television screens, Christie boasts an impressive resume including roles in some of Australia’s most well-known dramas: Wonderland, Offspring, House Husbands and The Wrong Girl and now she will be adding Neighbours to her list.

re the line about being sued by Craig McLachlan:

Accusations over Craig McLachlan's TV show behaviour, court hears

Three people have made accusations about actor Craig McLachlan relating to his time on the television show The Doctor Blake Mysteries, including claims of an unwanted kiss and "inappropriate touching", a court has been told.

McLachlan, 53, is suing the ABC and Fairfax Media for defamation after an investigation published in January aired allegations of harassment and sexual misconduct made against him by female performers in the 2014 stage production of the Rocky Horror Show.

The actor is also suing Christie Whelan Browne, who performed alongside him in the production and spoke to journalists for the stories.

Neighbours hints at trouble for Ned Willis as newcomer Scarlett arrives
    What's her game?

    https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/nei...tt-brady-meet/

Neighbours introduces a potentially troublesome new character next week, as Christie Whelan Browne makes her first appearance as Scarlett Brady.

Scarlett is introduced when she befriends Ned Willis (Ben Hall) at an airport, wearing a wedding dress after being jilted by her husband-to-be.

The drama kicks off when Terese phones Ned from Queensland, revealing that her wedding plans with Paul Robinson have gone horribly wrong.

Ned jumps on the next plane to support Terese, but ends up being delayed at Sydney Airport while waiting for his connecting flight.

While killing time in the airport bar, Ned is drawn to a tearful Scarlett and tries to cheer her up.

Ned's friendly gesture has an unexpected outcome when Scarlett starts to take a secret interest in him.

Later, Terese lets Ned know the wedding is going ahead after all, so he decides to fly back home to Melbourne as he's no longer needed. While Ned unlocks his phone, Scarlett secretly reads his passcode over his shoulder.

Shortly afterwards, the airline messages Ned to let him know they've found a replacement flight for him, but Scarlett uses his passcode to delete the message before he notices it.

Scarlett is delighted to have kept Ned around for longer, and when the time comes to board her own flight, she demands a selfie with him to mark the moment she met her new friend.

This won't be the last time that Ned sees Scarlett – and it seems that she could bring trouble with her when she later pops up in Erinsborough.

Neighbours announced Christie's casting as Scarlett in June.

Speaking to TV Week at the time, Christie teased: "[Scarlett] has a clear agenda when it comes to one of the male characters and she goes to extreme lengths to get what she wants.

"She's had her own pain and struggles, so while sometimes her actions will leave viewers shaking their heads, hopefully they can have sympathy for her too."

Neighbours airs these scenes on Monday, September 9 and Tuesday, September 10 at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5 (UK) and 6.30pm on 10 Peach (Australia).

Neighbours stalker Scarlett Brady targets Ned Willis with a creepy move
Scarlett sneaks into Ned's house without his knowledge.

    https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/nei...willis-target/

Neighbours' Scarlett Brady continues to stalk Ned Willis, going as far as taking private photos of him without his knowledge.

Viewers will see Scarlett (Christie Whelan Browne) driving a wedge between Ned (Ben Hall) and Yashvi Rebecchi (Olivia Junkeer) this week, with the couple ending up in a large row.

In scenes airing next week, Scarlett takes her scheming to the next step by trying to befriend Yashvi. Yashvi softens towards her, but Scarlett's real motivation is to open up new opportunities to find weaknesses in Ned and Yashvi's relationship.

Scarlett also takes advantage when she moves in to Leo Tanaka's empty room at Number 32, using it as yet another opportunity to get closer to Ned.

She successfully charms Aaron Brennan and David Tanaka into letting her have the room, and gifts them a new fish.

Ned is happy that Yashvi and Scarlett are on better terms. However, Scarlett enters Ned's house, and when she spots him in the shower, she begins to discreetly take photos of him.

Neighbours airs weekdays at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5 (UK) and 6.30pm on 10 Peach (Australia).

Neighbours schemer Scarlett Brady nearly kills Bea Nilsson in shocking scenes
    Her sabotage has major consequences.

    https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/nei...sson-accident/

Neighbours fans will see Bea Nilsson's life hang in the balance next week as Scarlett Brady makes a dangerous move in her quest for Ned Willis.

Bea (Bonnie Anderson) finds herself caught in the crossfire of Scarlett's ruthless behaviour when the Ramsay Street newcomer tries to stir up trouble between Ned and his girlfriend Yashvi Rebecchi.

As Bea prepares for her latest gig at The Waterhole, Scarlett (Christie Whelan Browne) decides to use the occasion as an opportunity to split up Ned and Yashvi.

Knowing how protective Ned (Ben Hall) is over Bea, scheming Scarlett sabotages her microphone lead ahead of her big performance – fraying it near where it connects to the amp.

Scarlett then calls Ned to the bar on the pretext of a work mix-up – just in time for him to see Bea plug her microphone into the jack and receive a nasty electric shock.

Bea is in terrible danger as her hand gets fused to the lead by the current, but Ned jumps in to break the connection with a bar stool.

Ned then rushes Bea to the hospital, with the incident making him forget all about his plans to meet up with Yashvi (Olivia Junkeer) that afternoon.

When Yashvi seeks an explanation over his no-show, Scarlett gives her a warped version of what happened – downplaying the seriousness of the situation and highlighting how Ned seemed desperate to help his ex.

Yashvi is quick to confront Ned, who assumes that she heard the real story and can't believe her apparent selfishness. As Ned decides that he needs a break from his relationship with "immature" Yashvi, sly Scarlett is triumphant over the success of her mission.

Meanwhile, Bea regains consciousness at the hospital, but is confused when everyone assumes that her microphone cord was frayed due to wear and tear.

Bea can't shake the feeling that the explanation doesn't add up, as she is always extremely careful to check her music equipment. Has Scarlett aroused suspicion?

Neighbours airs these scenes on Monday, September 30 and Tuesday, October 1 at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5 (UK) and 6.30pm on 10 Peach (Australia).
