Over on Hollyoaks, Mercedes McQueen and Liam Donovan's latest row could leave one character fighting for their life.

When Mercedes (Jennifer Metcalfe) struggles after her latest family troubles, she falls back under Liam's spell as he tries to cheer her up.

Dodgy Liam (Jude Monk McGowan) suggests going for a spin and they end up stealing Harry Thompson's new car to have some fun in.

While driving home later on, Mercedes and Liam start arguing as usual and this leads to the car swerving into some roadworks.

The pair are knocked out in the incident and, once they've regained consciousness, Mercedes is certain that they hit somebody.

Liam gets out of the vehicle to check and when he sees a shoe, he kicks it out of sight. Who was the unlucky victim?

Hollyoaks airs these scenes on Tuesday, May 14 and Wednesday, May 15 at 6.30pm on Channel 4.
