MONDAY

Marlon Dingle hasn't sat in the driver's seat of a car since he had a stroke.

But with his recovery having come on leaps and bounds it's time for the pub cook to take the next step and attempt to drive.

It's a huge moment for the dad who's asked his best mate Paddy to be there with him.

Paddy, of course, would do anything for Marlon and has been there for him despite all that he's been through this year.

But when Paddy finds Mary sobbing in a field having pretended she was headed out on a date, the vet is unable to walk away even though it means Marlon is left high and dry as he's set to take the plunge.

When Paddy returns, he's met by Marlon who gives him a mouthful of upset.

Can their friendship right itself?

Lydia has an emotional moment at the Hide when she meets her old mate Craig. She's decided to accept the job Craig offered her when she ran into him at a recruitment fair.

Having grown up in the same children's home the former besties have tons to catch up on and are thrilled to find their easy-breezy rapport remains.

Meanwhile Mack and Chloe are getting excited about their baby son Reuben's upcoming christening and are sorting out the final arrangements.

Moira's thrilled when she's asked to be her nephew's godmother, as are Chloe's sister Amy and her partner Matty.



TUESDAY

When Mack and Chloe learn that the venue where they'd planned to hold Reuben's christening party has cancelled, you could call it karma.

Seeing as the pair slept with each other behind Charity's back ? with neither coming clean about their one-night stand when the Woolie landlady married Mack nor when Chloe went on to give birth to his love child ? Charity is well within her rights to feel bitter.

Her marriage is over, Mack has moved in with Chloe and their son and the Dingle is having to serve them drinks in the pub, to boot!

Charity happens to be in earshot when the christening venue falls through and instead of revelling in Chloe and Mack's upset, she actually offers a solution and offers up the Woolie!

Though Charity's being genuine, Chloe doesn't know what to say and instead laughs off the idea.

At the Dingles' homestead, Lydia's given a lift home by Craig, who, judging by his flashy motor, has a bob or two.

Samson's dead impressed and grills his step mum about Craig while Lydia's husband Sam is left feeling awful.

Over at Smithy Rhona feels the pinch as she tries to broker peace between Marlon and his best mate Paddy, and props her mum whose recent brush with her ex Faye has left her crushed. But is Rhona coping? or cracking?

Charles simmers when Victor's probation officer calls in and seems to be taken in by his dad's every word.


WEDNESDAY

Mackenzie Boyd is about to prove that old adage, once a cheater, always a cheater.

When he visits Charity to ask if he and Chloe could take up her offer to use the Woolie for their christening party, one thing leads to another.

It's been a while since the exes have been alone and on good-ish terms, and things soon become emotional.

As feelings bubble to the surface, passion strikes and the exes ? who split over Mack's one-night stand with Chloe which resulted in a baby ? sleep together!

Uh oh...

Afterwards, the atmos is super awkward. Mack dashes home to Chloe who, unaware, greets him with joy for sorting out their christening problem.

Meanwhile, Charity is all in her head and is starting to hope this could be the start of the road back togetherness.

Is it? Or are Charity and Mack both on totally different pages when it comes to their future together?

Elsewhere Samson's stunned when he finds out his stepmum's childhood friend Craig owns the company which created one of his favourite mobile phone games. Can Lydia swing the keen teen some work experience with Craig?

Charles seethes as his mum rallies round Victor, who relishes in winding up their son. Rhona's patience snaps and she tells her loved ones they're all going to have to face their fears together.


THURSDAY

Having slept with his ex, Charity Dingle, Mack's not in a good headspace on his baby son Reuben's christening day.

You could say it's just like his wedding day all over again as the women, Charity and Chloe, in his life continue to tear him in two.

Needing some sisterly advice he heads over to Butler's and tells Moira what he's done.

The married farmer warns her brother that he will risk losing his son if Chloe finds out he's slept with Charity.

As Mack's mistake weighs heavily on his mind he's aware that he needs to make a decision about his love life, once and for all.

So, who's it to be, Chloe, the mother of his child, or his soul mate Charity?

Meanwhile, over at the Woolie, keen Charity tells Chas what's gone on with her ex, clearly hoping that they're going to end up back together.

As Chloe and Mack's christening celebrations kicks off, with the party due to be held at Charity's pub, what could possibly go wrong?

Over at Wishing Well, Sam's inferiority complex grows as his son Samson fawns around Lydia's old friend Craig who seems perfectly happy to muck in with life at the Dingles' place.

Down the road, Rhona has her loved ones, Marlon, Mary and Paddy worried about lies ahead during their 'Face Your Fears Day'. Can Rhona's plans conquer all?

Charles is having a heart-to-heart with Manpreet about his parents when Jai interrupts having noticed his former stepmum is wearing a necklace that Rishi must have given her? He wants the Sharma heirloom back. Will the doc hand it over?



FRIDAY

Emmerdale sisters Bernice Blackstock and Nicola King are always there for each other when it counts. But like most siblings, trouble can quickly flare out of nowhere, as can the desire to outdo each other.

In the cafe, they get talking about the village needing new pads for the defibrillator and decide they're going to compete to see which of them can raise the most money.

Who will come out on top?

At the Hide, Charles and Manpreet are having a quiet moment when Jai arrives and makes another bid for her to return the necklace his dad, her former husband Rishi, once gave her.

The doc is furious with Charles when he fails to take her side in the matter. Will Manpreet hand over the Sharma heirloom that seems to be causing grieving Jai so much extra heartache?

Charles' day goes from bad to worse when his mum Claudette then asks him to make himself scarce so she can have a romantic meal with Victor.

At the B&B, Wendy and Bob continue to try to get their relationship back on track. While Wendy worries about Bob's health, he's busy trying to stage a surprise? Will Bob pull it off?

Paddy discovers Mary sobbing in a field after having pretended to go on a date.

This means that Paddy is delayed to meet Marlon. The argument that ensues, due to Marlon feeling spurned by Paddy, nearly ruins their close friendship.

Meanwhile, Chloe and Mack choose godparents for their baby.

Elsewhere, at The Hide, Craig reconnects with Lydia and he follows through with his job offer. Craig and Lydia are soon filling each other in on their lives since both of them were at the children's home. The pair fall back into their easy rapport.

When they both end up emotional, Mackenzie and Charity fall into a passionate embrace. After the event, they are both a little embarrassed and Mack dashes out, leaving Charity to process the afternoon's activity.

Meanwhile, Rhona is feeling the weight of trying to support Marlon, Paddy and Mary. Finally snapping, she tells them that tomorrow, they'll all have to face their fears together.

He tries his best to seem unrattled in the face of Harry's intimidation, but his ultimatum about ending the illegal business doesn't go well.
