    MONDAY

Steeeeephen Reid risks being discovered as he searches for the tie pin

Lou arrives for her meeting and tells Carla and Steeeeeeeeeeephen Reid that the police have agreed to look into the missing watch and the strange tie pin.

Panicking, Steeeeeeeephen quickly steals her hotel key from her bag. When he overhears Peter on a call to the pawnbroker, he realises that Peter has pawned the watch and it has been sold. He then lets himself into Lou?s hotel room whilst she is at the factory and, after rifling through her belongings, he finds his tie pin and pops it in his pocket. But as he makes to leave, he?s horrified to hear someone at the bedroom door. Will he get caught?

In the caf?, Shona gives Lauren a pep talk on how to deal with awkward customers and when Beth accuses Lauren of short-changing her, she remains calm and proves her wrong. Shona congratulates her on the way she handled a difficult customer.

Later, Lauren tells Max about her successful day in the caf? and he?s genuinely pleased for her but he pulls away when she misreads the signal and tries to kiss him.

Embarrassed, she storms out of the house and heads to the cafe where she tells Roy she has made a fool of herself and wants to resign. Roy offers her food and a bed for the night before she makes any rash decision but is horrified when she offers to sleep with him to show her gratitude!

At No.5, Chesney presents Gemma with a furry notebook and matching pen for her first day in the new job. She arrives for the Newton & Ridley board meeting and Henry does his best to put her at her ease whilst Philip makes his disapproval obvious. Later, Gemma calls at the Rovers and admits to Jenny and Daisy that it?s been a tough day.

When Gerry, the Tai-Chi instructor, reveals that he?s booked the community centre all day tomorrow Glenda?s horrified to realise it clashes with the Little Big Shotz Summer Spectacular.

Feeling stressed, she confides in Tyrone that she needs to find another venue for the show and Hope suggests she speaks to Maria as she?s on the council. When Maria suggests they hold the show in the bistro, Glenda reckons it?s a great idea.

Ronnie calls at No.3 and shares the good news that the last of the new houses has sold. Ed agrees to join him for a celebratory drink and Ronnie suggests to Ed that they form a business partnership. When Michael proposes they call the business Ediron Developments, the brothers are impressed.

    WEDNESDAY

Tyrone Dobbs gets the mother of all surprises

Tyrone Dobbs leaves a message for Evelyn letting her know it is the girls? show today at the Bistro and they would love her support.

Over at the precinct, Evelyn and Cassie move into a rented flat when Evelyn gets the message but she tells Cassie she won?t be going as she can?t leave her on her own. But Cassie has other ideas and convinces Evelyn to let her go out to grab a coffee as she has been clean for weeks and is bored. However, Evelyn fears the worst when she spots that her purse is missing.

Meanwhile, Cassie has arrived at the Bistro where Tyrone recognises her as Cath, the friend of James and wonders if she?s heard anything from Evelyn. A breathless Evelyn hurries into the bistro, just in time to hear Cassie reveal to Tyrone that she?s his Mum! How will he react?

Also, Peter tells Carla to keep an eye on Stephen as he can?t be trusted.

Meanwhile, Lou comes to the factory for a meeting but reveals that she is really there to uncover who stole the tie pin.

In the caf?, Roy leaves a message for Shona, hoping she might have heard from Lauren. When Shona reveals that neither she nor Max has seen her since yesterday, he becomes increasingly worried.

Lauren calls at No.8 for her things and inadvertently lets slip to Max and Shona that she made a pass at Roy as that is what men expect. Will she pack her bags and leave the street for good or will Roy catch up with her in time?

Ryan pulls out a box of steroids from under his bed, but despairs when he discovers the vials have leaked. Pointing out that he barely leaves his bedroom these days, Carla urges him to go out and meet Alya for lunch. Later, Alya confides in Carla that Ryan seemed restless and preoccupied over lunch.

Ronnie shows Ed a property ripe for their next development project. When Ed reckons it?s a big job that wouldn?t show any return for years, Ronnie criticises his lack of ambition.

    FRIDAY

Gary comes to the aid of Ryan Connor

Ryan Connor enters his bedroom clutching a needle to find Carla making his bed. He hides the needle in his hand and tries to keep a lid on his temper, but once she?s gone he punches the wardrobe in anger, the steroids clearly taking effect. Later, he returns from a run and suffers heart palpitations before his legs give way. Gary rushes to his aid and urges him to take deep breaths. Clocking Ryan?s energy drink, Gary asks him if he?s taken anything else in addition to it.

Over breakfast, Hope and Ruby excitedly quiz Tyrone about their new Grandma, wondering when they can meet her. In the flat, Evelyn lambasts Cassie for the terrible mess she?s created. Evelyn calls at the garage and assures Tyrone she was only trying to protect him and her plan was to tell him the truth once she could be sure Cassie was clean.

After their chat, Tyrone pours his heart out to Kevin and Abi. Abi advises him to think long and hard before introducing a recovering drug addict into the girls? lives. After giving it some thought, Tyrone calls at the flat in the precinct? but what does he have to say?

In the hotel bar, Debbie?s distracted to clock Jason Drinkwater, a local entrepreneur in hospitality, clearly celebrating some sort of deal with Philip Newton from the brewery. Ronnie approaches Philip and explains that he and Ed do pub renovations.

At No.11, George talks Todd through the various undertaker procedures that he?ll have to learn for his professional qualification as Eileen listens in amusement.

Later, George shows Todd the new Shuttleworths business cards and Todd spots his name on the cards, together with the title ?Young Funeral Director of the Year?.

    Exclamation Corrie Spoilers 14th - 18th August 2023

    https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/cor...onfronted-lou/

Coronation Street killer Stephen Reid arouses further suspicion next week as he tries to cover up the truth about Rufus Donahue's murder.

Stephen is driven to carry out risky measures as Rufus' widow Lou remains convinced that that her husband's death was not an accident.

As we've already revealed, upcoming episodes see Lou realise that a tie-pin was found at the scene of the crime and it didn't belong to Rufus.

Lou confides in Stephen, who recognises the tie-pin as his own. Stephen then panics when Lou vows to tell the police everything, believing that the tie-pin could be evidence of foul play.

Next week, Lou arrives for a meeting at Underworld and tells Stephen about her dealings with the police.

Lou confirms that the police have agreed to look into the strange tie-pin, so Stephen realises that he needs to take action.

Stephen steals Lou's hotel key from her bag and goes snooping around her room, safe in the knowledge that she's still busy speaking to Carla Barlow at the factory.

The schemer is pleased when he finds the tie pin and puts it into his pocket. However, Stephen panics when he suddenly hears someone at the bedroom door and fears that he's about to be rumbled.

Later in the week, Lou turns up at the factory again and initially claims that she's there for another meeting.

Lou's true agenda becomes clear when she reveals that she has really turned up to find out who stole the tie pin from her hotel room. How will Stephen respond?

Coronation Street's Evelyn Plummer fears she has lost Tyrone Dobbs for good next week, as the truth is exposed about her years of deception.

Evelyn's worst fears are realised when Tyrone learns that his biological mother Cassie is still alive.

In next week's episodes, Evelyn and Cassie both return to Weatherfield after a few weeks away. Evelyn has been trying to get Cassie clean following her latest drugs relapse.

Evelyn and Cassie move into a rented flat at the Weatherfield Precinct. Evelyn is determined to continue keeping a close watch on her troubled daughter, still not trusting her to be alone.

Cassie isn't keen on being shut away from the outside world, so she encourages Evelyn to let her go out to buy a coffee.

Evelyn agrees as Cassie has been clean for weeks, but she worries when she realises that her purse has gone missing.

Later, Cassie tracks down Tyrone at the Bistro. Tyrone recognises her as "Cath" ? the fake identity that Cassie used when she recently visited the Dobbs house.

A panicking Evelyn rushes into the Bistro, but she's not quick enough to stop Cassie from telling Tyrone that she's his mother.

Tyrone's world is turned upside-down as he realises that Evelyn has been lying to him for years about his biological mum supposedly being dead.

Later in the week, Evelyn gives Cassie a hard time for taking matters into her own hands, pointing out that she has created a terrible mess.

Evelyn then calls to see Tyrone at the garage, explaining that she was only trying to protect him by keeping Cassie out of his life. She adds that she'd planned to tell him the truth once she knew that Cassie was clean on a long-term basis.

Tyrone still isn't sure what to do next, so he confides in Kevin and Abi Webster.

Drawing on her own experiences, Abi encourages Tyrone to think long and hard before letting a recovering drug addict into his family's lives.

Tyrone goes ahead and visits the flat in the precinct, but what will he say to Cassie and Evelyn?
