I detest the Mark and ELLY pairing!! ELLY is way too much of an airhead for Mark! Horrible matchup! Let ELLY deal with her new Kelly family and leave Mark alone.

I agree there's zero chemistry - just as there was with Steph. But the ways things are going it'll be soon over. Can see Elly getting together with Shaun and the two of them + baby leaving the show in the near future.

Digital Spy's expanded Neighbours spoilers for 8th - 12th April are now available:

    Monday 8 April

    https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/nei...-news-on-finn/

Seeing Finn wracked with guilt over ruining Bea's concert, Susan continues to soften towards him. When Bea re-cements her harsh stance towards Finn, Susan broaches the idea of forgiveness but is shut down. In an attempt to help Bea see her point of view, Susan gives her the letter Finn wrote while being held hostage. Bea is moved by the letter, but not enough to change her stance. She feels everybody has been through hard times, but that's no excuse for becoming a monster.

Susan is disappointed but understanding, while Ned is pleased. While he and Bea discuss how much they're looking forward to Finn getting his comeuppance, Susan receives some upsetting news: there's been a fire in the building where police evidence on Finn's case is held. Does this mean Finn will walk free?

Meanwhile, Paul is troubled by Terese's ultimatum that he moves in with her, especially when he realises that moving out of the penthouse will speed up Amy's plan to move in with Gary. Terese is concerned he's not being straight with her and asks Chloe to keep an eye on him – not realising that Chloe is involved in a dodgy new scheme with Paul.

When Chloe warns Paul of Terese's suspicions, he decides his best defence is to negotiate. He and Terese lay down some ground rules on when and where they'll see each other. Pleased, Terese admits she was starting to get paranoid Paul was hiding something from her.

Elsewhere, noting Chloe and Kyle getting on like a house on fire, Aaron and David insist there will be no hooking up between the residents – except for them. But Chloe bristles at being treated like a child and suddenly flirting with Kyle seems like just the thing to do.

    Tue 9 April

Finn's victims reel at the destruction of evidence vital to his case. Overhearing Shaun urge Finn to take this chance to change his plea to not guilty, Ned accuses him of starting the fire. Furious, Ned spreads word that Finn is going to mount a defense. However, Imogen refuses to be part of any such plan, telling Finn that she'll only defend him if he pleads guilty.

Mark questions Shaun but is satisfied that he isn't responsible for the fire. Bea doesn't care who lit the fire that could see Finn walk free – she's simply boiling over with fury at the whole situation. With so many residents upset about Finn, it's not surprising that Imogen is feeling the heat. But things go from bad to worse when she finds herself the victim of a malicious threat...

Meanwhile, after being out of work for a term, Elly has high hopes for an interview she has lined up. Dressed to impress, her interview starts off well... until she's dealt a question about cheating. Feeling guilty over her recent betrayal of Mark, she stumbles on the answer and eventually fleas the interview in tears, losing all hope of securing the job.

Dipi tries to console Elly, but it's little comfort. Elly is reminded of another way that Dipi likes to help people and asks for a tarot reading.

    Wed 10 April

Shaken after the clearly targeted threat, Imogen is confronted by the community's anger and questions whether she is doing the right thing representing Finn. Terese's support gives Imogen the strength to continue with the case, but she sticks to her guns, insisting Finn pleads guilty.

Shaun wants Finn to consider taking on another lawyer and changing his plea, but Finn is prepared to face the wrath of the community and take responsibility for what he has done. Finn retains Imogen and prepares to plead guilty.

Later, Sheila is unmasked as Imogen's harasser. Sheila swallows her embarrassment to attempt an apology, but Imogen takes a hard line, fearing the violence may escalate. She reveals she is urging the police to press charges—leaving Gary fuming.

Meanwhile, Dipi agrees to read Elly's tarot cards, but Elly's future is shrouded in confusion. Suffering from dizzy spells and feeling overwhelmed, Elly is encouraged by Leo to get a check-up… and Elly discovers that she now truly is pregnant.

Rocked, Elly seeks out Leo and unloads her news. Leo thinks Elly should be delighted, now she is really having a baby with Mark. But Elly tells him Mark can't be the father – the only person who can is her one-night stand

    Thurs 11 April

    https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/nei...lys-deception/

Discovering that she is pregnant for real, Elly is pushed by Leo to finally tell the whole truth. But as she tries to find Mark, Elly's doubts come flooding in.

Mark is ready to commit to their relationship again, but Elly fears he will reject both her and the child if she tells him the truth. She decides to keep her secret.

Later, Leo is spiralling to his own dark place, reflecting on his own history growing up with uncertain paternity. When he learns Elly has decided to keep Mark in the dark, Leo is outraged – but is he enough of a loose cannon to spill Elly's secrets to her husband?

Meanwhile, on the day Finn's victims need to file their statements, Bea completes her own brutal assessment of Finn, but feels her true feelings towards him are better expressed by her latest song – a musical rejection of his supposed remorse. Bea grows more and more frustrated with Susan as she continues to put Finn's needs above her family.

Karl advises Bea to have a little patience, but when Susan decides definitively to change her impact statement so Finn has a better chance of a lenient sentence, Bea can no longer hold her temper. The battle-lines are drawn between aunt and niece.

Elsewhere, following Mark's advice, Dipi and Shane try to reach out to Andrea for answers about the clue she supposedly holds to finding the real Dee. But Andrea refuses to see them, so their investigation stalls... for now.

    Fri 12 April

    https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/nei...n-is-revealed/

Paul and Chloe's secret mission is almost over – they just have one more important meeting where they need their major investor, Max Walpole, to sign on the dotted line. Needing Terese and Amy away from Lassiters so they don't stumble across the meeting, Paul orchestrates for them to have a site visit at the housing estate. However, his plan hits a snag when Amy forgets the security passes and nearly busts Paul schmoozing the investor.

A brooding Leo picks up on the cloak and dagger shenanigans and realises Chloe and Paul are hiding something. Hurt after his run-in with Elly and frustrated that everyone in his life appears to be keeping secrets, Leo tells Amy and Terese that Paul is up to something.

When they walk in on the meeting with investor Max in the penthouse, Paul almost gets away with it, until Max baulks when Terese calls Chloe by her name. Paul and Chloe's plan is exposed as the group realise that Chloe has been posing as Amy in order to seal the deal

Meanwhile, Elly is furious with Leo after he almost reveals to Mark that he isn't the father of her unborn baby. Luckily, Elly manages to defuse the situation with Mark, but she turns on Leo, upset about his betrayal. Leo believes she should tell Mark the truth about her one-night stand and pregnancy, but Elly digs in her heels

Already worn down by the events of the last few weeks, Leo has a strong reaction, leaving Elly concerned about his state of mind. After talking with Amy, Elly realises how much Leo is struggling, but when she tries to smooth things over with him and apologise, Leo won't play ball. He agrees to keep Elly's appalling secret but doesn't want anything else to do with her lies

Seriously women cannot be trusted these day, when I get myself a wife and she gets pregnant, I will demand a DNA test the same day my kid is born, I will demand this for every kid I have, it should be standard procedure in hospitals to do paternity tests when babies are born to prevent this kind of deception.

It's just a TV show. Not even a very well written one, at the moment.
