I was just about to post asking where candy and paula have gone because nicole only seems to hang around with with Ali now and the on the pull characters are Louise who has now got a job in admin of the college and Jeremy the new guy lliving with Danni + co.

i was going to say the other day that we might not have seen them cos nicole and ali and justin hadnt been seen in school for a while and as the others dont have any family that we know of and arent really that main characters. however, the others have been in school this week and candy and paula havent been seen, which is a bit weird as candy was meant to be nicoles best friend

Well they're not joined at the hip. I mean they don't need to be seen together in every school scene. They may have different classes to attend, etc.
