Digital Spy article confirming that Shaunna O'Grady will reprise the role of Dr Beverly Robinson:

Neighbours confirms return for Beverly Robinson as Shaunna O'Grady reprises role
Another comeback for a Ramsay Street regular.

Neighbours has just revealed that Shaunna O'Grady will make a return as her character Dr Beverly Marshall.

Beverly was originally played by Lisa Armytage, and Shaunna took over the role in 1989 for one year before her departure from the series. Shaunna reprised her role for the soap's 20th anniversary back in 2005 when she appeared in a documentary about former Ramsay Street residents.

Shaunna's return to the show was initially spotted by fans on social media, who noticed a name card for her character at a table read – and Digital Spy can confirm that yes, she is coming back.

Upon her arrival on Ramsay Street, Beverly had a difficult and intense relationship with her on-screen partner Jim Robinson (Alan Dale). After saving Jim's mother-in-law Helen Daniels (Anne Haddy), Beverly managed to earn Jim's trust and they fell in love and got married – on Valentine's Day.

They agree to start a family, but Beverly sadly had a miscarriage after she was mugged. She later decided to apply for legal guardianship of a child left at the doctor's surgery – but the child's parents tried to blackmail her.

When Beverly's ex Ewan asked her to work on some research with him, Jim became jealous and it caused tension in their relationship.

Ultimately, they divorced and she decided to leave Erinsborough.

Alan Dale recently reprised his role as Jim, father of Paul (Stefan Dennis), for Neighbours' Christmas Day episode last year, 25 years after Jim's death.

After teasing fans on social media about Jim's return, Alan said that making a comeback many years after Jim's death was a strange feeling.

"Being Jim Robinson again is a strange feeling after 25 years particularly because I died!" said Alan. "It was actually quite eerie being back on the set and I really loved it."

Neighbours airs every weekday at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5.

    Digital Spy article:

Neighbours character returns after 14 years for Finn Kelly's latest storyline twist
Paul makes an unexpected phone call next week.

    https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/nei...binson-return/

Neighbours has revealed that Beverly Robinson's return will be tied in with the Finn Kelly storyline.

Shaunna O'Grady has filmed a return stint as Beverly, who was last seen for a cameo in the show's 20th anniversary episode in 2005.

Beverly's comeback scenes will air next week, as her former stepson Paul (Stefan Dennis) contacts her to help with the Finn drama.

Finn has caused shockwaves in Erinsborough by waking from his coma and claiming to have amnesia, so Paul hopes that Beverly will be able to get to the bottom of the mystery.

Beverly is now a specialist in psychological trauma caused by brain injuries, so seems like the perfect person to figure out whether Finn is lying or not.

Paul also has an ulterior motive for asking Beverly back, wanting to feel close to anyone who was connected to his late father Jim following their ghostly encounter on Christmas Day.

Beverly's return comes just as tensions are rising in Erinsborough over Finn's memory loss claims.

Making an unprofessional move, Karl Kennedy goes against medical advice by confronting Finn and revealing details of all the crimes he claims to have forgotten.

Karl's behaviour earns him a rebuke from Clive Gibbons, who warns him to stay away from Finn from now on.

With Finn demanding further answers in the aftermath, it's left to Beverly to fill in the blanks and explain that he was in a coma because Susan pushed him off a cliff.

A remorseful Finn later assures Susan that he forgives her for everything, but is he being genuine?

Beverly was the second wife of Jim Robinson. She was originally played by Lisa Armytage, with Shaunna taking over the role from 1989.

Neighbours airs Beverly's return on Tuesday, March 19 at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5 (UK) and 6.30pm on 10 Peach (Australia).
