Jane's happiness in her growing relationship with Paul suffers a blow when Terese reveals the real reason why she and Leo asked her to come to Erinsborough. A drinking game reminds Terese of the age gap between herself and Leo. Alice uses one of Nell's drawings to cause more trouble between Toadie and Sonya, but she oversteps the mark.

Paul declares his feelings and begs Jane not to leave. She agrees, on condition that he stop feuding with his family and organises a meeting to clear the air. Mark is on edge as he awaits his test results for Huntington's and snaps at Bea in the garage. Jane needs to lose a member of staff, so sacks Elly when she breaks one of the new school rules.

Elly spends a girly afternoon with Chloe to take her mind off her troubles - and finds herself the subject of unwanted romantic attention. Aaron refuses to take the Huntington's test, telling David that the family has trouble enough at present. Jane refuses to listen when Susan attempts to intercede on Elly's behalf, and Dipi is feeling guilty.
Thurs 6 Dec
Elly surprises Mark with a marriage proposal as he is waiting at the hospital for his test results. Aaron changes his mind about taking the test. Alice returns Toadie's laptop, having planted some photos of Andrea on it for Sonya to find - but when Sonya confronts Toadie, they have been wiped.
Fri 7 Dec
Left alone in the house, a disorientated Sonya goes walkabout and encounters a group of Christmas revellers who offer her a bottle. After a generous offer by Amy, Gary tells her that he no longer wants to sponge off her. Xanthe feels partly responsible and wants to help him repay the loan, so Paul gets her a job at the day spa.
