EastEnders' Mel Owen will scheme to find out more about her estranged husband Ray Kelly's double life later this month.

Mel (Tamzin Outhwaite) recently rumbled one of Ray's big secrets when she discovered that he had another family away from the Square.

Deciding against confronting Ray over her discovery, Mel subsequently suggested they renew their wedding vows instead, but it's become increasingly clear that she's actually plotting something else.

Sure enough, upcoming scenes will see Mel decide to get more information on Ray's secret family as she arranges to meet up with his wife, Maddie.

Mel keeps her true identity under wraps when she chats to Maddie and does some digging on Ray, but what else will she discover?

Monday

Kat causes a shocking road accident
She knocks over an elderly man after a difficult day.


Kat visits Charlie's old cabbie tea hut, hoping for inspiration as she's struggling to learn the Knowledge. She meets ex-cabbie Tony, who knew Charlie, and they decide to visit one of Charlie's favourite pubs. While there, Kat is introduced to Maurice, another of Charlie's old friends. When Maurice drops a shocking bombshell, Kat is left in turmoil.

Later on, a struggling Kat drives back to the Square and accidentally knocks over an elderly man. She's also left in a bad way herself, falling off her moped and knocking herself unconscious.

Meanwhile, Ruby learns that Ross and Matt have both been charged. The news hits the front page of the local newspaper, leaving Ruby nervous even though she isn't named. She's left feeling worse when she sees comments online from strangers who are doubting her allegations.

Elsewhere, Mel contacts Ray's wife Maddie, under the pretence of starting personal training sessions with her.


Tuesday

Kat's downward spiral continues after the accident
Can Stacey get through to her?

Kat regains consciousness after the accident, but after realising that she's hit someone, she panics and drives off. Hayley notices Kat's injuries but she refuses to open up about what happened.

Later, Stacey is concerned to spot a self-destructive Kat drinking at the E20, especially when she refuses to come home. Stacey tries to give Kat a reality check and her words leave Kat with food for thought.

Meanwhile, Martin receives a message from Ross, who wants to meet him. Ruby also contacts her SOIT officer for advice on the cruel comments she's receiving online. When Ruby and Stacey decide to visit The Vic, they're unaware that Martin is there with Ross and Matt.

At the same time, Jay decides to invite Ruby on a date, but how will she respond?

Elsewhere, Mel tries to get the information she needs from Maddie.


Thursday

Ruby's ordeal becomes public knowledge
Tensions escalate after the article in the paper.

At the pub, Albert Square's residents discuss the article in the local paper, unaware that it's about Ruby. There's a debate about the topic of consent and Ruby tries her best to ignore the conversation.

Later, Stacey reacts angrily when she sees Martin spending time with Matt and Ross. Stacey's outburst leads to everyone discovering that they're the men responsible.

After Matt and Ross are forced to leave, Glenn arrives and defends his two friends. Ruby bravely stands up to Glenn, letting everyone know that she was the woman who Matt raped.

Meanwhile, Kat causes a drunken scene at The Vic, much to the concern of her family.


Friday

Kat and Alfie come face-to-face again
How will their latest meeting go?

It's Hayley's birthday and Jean decides to throw a surprise party to celebrate, determined to make it a special day for her. She even convinces Ian to make a cake for the occasion, but Hayley is later horrified by the effort Jean has gone to.

Later, Kat has a heart-to-heart with Jean and is surprised when Alfie pays another unexpected visit.

Meanwhile, Ruby becomes overwhelmed in the market when Whitney tries to show her support.

Later, a persistent Whitney talks to Ruby again and they strike up a bond.
