It would appear that he does go back into the police force, at some stage. Apparently Scott McGregor posted a couple of photos of himself in uniform on Instagram last month, such as this one (or is it an old photo.....?):

(If he is back as a cop, who will take over the garage?)

Digital Spy's expanded Neighbours spoilers for 19th - 23rd November are now available:

    Monday 19 Nov

Elly convinces Chloe not to flee the country and instead tell her brothers the truth about Pierce. Chloe anticipates harsh judgement from her siblings but is surprised when she doesn't receive a lecture from Mark. Instead, Mark directs his frustration at Elly, who has confessed that she's been aware of the situation all along.

At the same time, Chloe learns that Pierce has paid off her debts to Fay and decides to face him one last time before he leaves town.

Meanwhile, Terese is baffled when she learns that Paul has done a 180 on his decision to agree to her and Pierce's offer. She soon discovers the reason when Pierce announces he's pulling his support for the deal — Paul has threatened to reveal his secret relationship with Chloe to his investors.

Later, Terese visits Pierce in his hotel room, asking him what it will take to have him reconsider. A guilty Terese, looking very compromised, is later seen leaving the room by Paul.

Elsewhere, Ned offers Bea help at work while Mark is off dealing with Chloe, but as the pair experience a charged moment and kiss, Bea is reminded of Finn and pulls away from Ned. Later, Elly tells the women she is fast growing exhausted with the deception she's carrying. Susan's mind also starts playing tricks on her, as she sees visions of Finn.

    Tue 20 Nov

Paul wastes no time telling Leo that he saw Terese emerging from Pierce's room last night. Although Leo suspects that Paul is stooping to new lows by making up lies about Terese, he still can't help asking her whether it's true. Terese denies any romantic entanglement and Leo is relieved.

Later, Terese admits to Piper that she did make Pierce a spur-of-the-moment offer, out of pure desperation, but he rejected her. Despite her reassurances that she is committed to him, Leo is feeling insecure, concerned that Terese will never be comfortable in public about their pairing. Pushing past her guilt over Pierce, Terese publicly commits to Leo and kisses him in front of everyone.

Meanwhile, Amy is furious when Paul uses an investors' meeting to belittle Gary. She's on the brink of quitting Paul's project, but Gary convinces her to stick it out. Amy agrees to stay, but is adamant that something needs to be done about her dad. Leo thinks he knows someone who can help.

Elsewhere, Sonya is in a blissful, chilled out state from continually eating Alice's codeine-laced shortbread. Believing it's time to up her game, Alice utilises the grounded Yashvi to watch Nell and Hugo, while she returns to David in an attempt to get stronger drugs for her fake injury. David instead promotes other options, like physio. Out of ideas, Alice resorts to extreme measures – grabbing a rolling pin and causing herself a real injury, so she can up the stakes.

    Wed 21 Nov

A mystery illness puts Susan's students in hospital. Her nerves start to fray and she's shocked by her continued visions of Finn everywhere. When the police realise the outbreak amongst the students is more sinister than a bad flu, fingers start to point at Finn. The neighbours are horrified to learn that Finn had deliberately set up an horrific accident at the school, using canisters of hydrogen cyanide in the air vents.

Luckily Finn's fall happened before he could fully enact his plan, so the damage has been minimal. However, the prospect of what could have been is shocking – and Susan's hatred of Finn pushes her to her limits. Consumed by her fear and loathing, Susan finds herself in Finn's hospital room, with a pillow in her hands. Has Susan been pushed to do the unthinkable?

Meanwhile, Alice again implores David to prescribe her stronger painkillers and this time he agrees. However, as Alice strategises her next move, Toadie has decided to track down Andrea's mother in preparation for when Andrea is released from her psychiatric facility. He calls Willow and discovers her grandma is a seasoned con artist who's operated under many names over the years. Armed with a list of potential names, Toadie enlists Piper's help to dig further.

Alice ups the dose of painkillers on Sonya's shortbread and gleefully watches her devour the special treats. Will Toadie discover Alice's connection to Andrea before it's too late?

    Thurs 22 Nov

As Susan teeters on the brink of doing something she'll regret, she is interrupted by Mark. Mark is oblivious, as a startled Susan quickly heads home to reveal to Elly that everything is becoming too much for her. Elly urges her to stay strong for everybody's sake.

At the same time, Bea's strange behaviour has made Mark suspicious. As he gathers information, Elly calls Susan, Bea and Xanthe together to announce that he's asking questions and it's only a matter of time before he finds them out. This leads Susan to decide they should come clean.

Before they can confess, Mark finds the last piece of the puzzle – Bea's meltdown about Finn on Piper's vlog. When he can't find Bea at the Kennedy house, he decides to talk to Susan instead. Regretfully, he reports that he believes Bea was involved in Finn's accident and the three women are covering her tracks. But Susan confesses they're not covering for Bea – they're covering for her!

Meanwhile, Alice continues to undermine Sonya, still plying her with painkiller-laced shortbread and orchestrating for her to sleep in. Alice 'regretfully' lets slip to Dipi that she is worried Sonya is drinking again. She claims that she has noticed strange behaviour and even saw her outside a bottle shop. It's a blatant lie, but Alice manipulates Dipi into thinking she should talk to Toadie. Even though Toadie decides to give Sonya the benefit of the doubt, a seed has been planted.

Elsewhere, Aaron and David are still bickering about how to raise their goldfish. Frustrated, Aaron wonders how they'll go raising a child if they can't even name a fish, and admits he's keen to start their family early. He's disappointed when David tells him he doesn't think they're ready to have kids, but a chat to Amy changes David's mind. David reasons to Aaron that it takes a lot of planning for a same-sex couple to have a child, and while he's not ready to be changing nappies, he's happy to start researching into the process. Aaron is delighted.

    Fri 23 Nov

Elly, Bea and Xanthe are stunned when Susan goes to the police and confesses to pushing Finn off the cliff. Feeling very much on the outer, Karl is quickly brought up to speed and gives Susan his support despite his many questions.

The women are interviewed, with each shouldering the blame and assuring Detective Shaw that Susan acted in self-defence. It looks as if Susan may get away without charge., until her conscience gets the better of her. She admits that when she pushed Finn, she wanted him dead. In light of her statement, Detective Shaw has no choice but to charge Susan with attempted murder.

Meanwhile, with emotions running high, Elly and Mark argue over her secret-keeping. He's hurt that she kept such a big secret from him and she's frustrated that he's more worried about that than what's going to happen to her and the other women.

The couple reach an impasse, until Chloe steps in and persuades Mark to see that Elly was between a rock and a hard place. She couldn't be asked to choose between Mark and Susan. Elly also turns to Chloe for support and the pair grow closer.

Burdened by her Huntington's diagnosis, Chloe feels the pressure to open up. But can she find the courage?

Elsewhere, Alice sings Toadie's praises and is convinced more than ever that he is the right man for Andrea. She compliments him, then places a swift call to her daughter to assure her she's going to do everything in her power to make sure they can be together.
