As we revealed earlier this week, James's full backstory will finally be explored in a special edition containing flashbacks to his past.

James (Gregory Finnegan) is currently in turmoil after Sami Maalik managed to frame him for the supposed "death" of Kyle Kelly.

Upcoming episodes will see James on the wrong track as he mistakenly accuses Ste Hay of being responsible for his ordeal.

Despite this, a drunken James soon realises that there are plenty more people who might want to cause him harm, so he creates a suspects board in a bid to crack this mystery once and for all.

When James runs out of wine, he heads to the shop to get more – clearly in a self-destructive mood. Arriving back home shortly afterwards, James is shocked to find "Killer Freak" written in red on his front door.

Flashbacks to the past will then show a younger James land his first role at a law firm called Forbes Carney. His evil father Mac tells him that he has to find £100,000 to help save his family's business, so James decides to sneakily 'appropriate' money from the firm as he's desperate for his father's approval.

Other glimpses of the past will also see Mac discover James is gay on his 16th birthday, before hiring a female prostitute and forcing his bewildered son to sleep with her. Will we discover some new secrets along the way?

Monday

James's sad backstory is revealed
Flashbacks reveal a glimpse at his childhood.


James flashback episode

A drunk and dishevelled James has made a noticeboard, containing the names of people he thinks are out to seek revenge by setting him up for Kyle's murder.

Out of wine, James heads to the shop, only to return home to find 'KILLER FREAK' in red on his front door.

A flashback then shows a younger James, who has just landed his first role at a law firm called Forbes Carney. Mac tells him that he has to find £100,000 to help save his family's business. Eager to help and desperate for his father's approval, James decides to 'appropriate' money from the firm.

After discovering that James is gay on his 16th birthday, Mac arranges for a prostitute to have sex with James, unknown to Marnie.


Tuesday

James starts to turn the tables on Sami
Does the fight back start here?

James has had an epiphany.

Back to his normal self, James heads to work, where he searches Sami's office. Has he realised what's really going on?

Meanwhile, Tegan is finally coming home today, and Leela is in panic mode trying to get everything ready. It's time to tell her about Dee Dee's illness, so Diane comes over to break the news to a devastated Tegan.

Elsewhere, Misbah goes to see Buster, determined to fix her and Imran's relationship. She asks Buster to let Imran go on the football trip to Barcelona.

Ollie feels like he is being unfairly punished for trying to buy alcohol with Imran as he continues with the chores Buster has given him.


Wednesday

Ellie discovers that she's pregnant
Will she tell Sami?


Ellie has a moment of light-headedness and later collapses while working, so Sami takes her to hospital.

Once there, Sami is tearing himself up with guilt and leaves Ellie alone. She then finds out the cause of her light-headiness – she's pregnant.

Meanwhile, Farrah has received an offer for the job of her dreams, but it means she'll be away a lot and she doesn't think Kim will cope as she is still struggling to leave the house. Misbah tells Farrah that it's time Kim learned to function without her.

Elsewhere, an anxious Tegan feels useless. She decides to go and see Diane and Tony to see if she can help with Dee Dee. They agree to let her attend her hospital appointments.

Also today, Glenn has a hospital appointment. He asks Maxine to keep Grace occupied so she doesn't find out, so Grace and Maxine go to pick up Adam's ashes. Grace tries to persuade Maxine to scatter Adam's ashes in Ibiza.

Later, the doctor tells Glenn that his blood pressure is worrying and urges him to tell Grace about his illness. He returns home to Grace and tries to kiss her, but she rejects him.


Thursday

Glenn makes a move on Maxine
How will she respond?

Glenn and Maxine go to the folly to scatter Adam's ashes. Glenn tries to kiss Maxine again, but she pushes him off. Will that be the end of it?

Meanwhile, Sami's bags are packed. He's told his family he has a new job in London and is moving away.

Elsewhere, Marnie visits Alfie at the hospital, where her and Yazz are given Alfie's diagnosis of Schizoaffective Disorder and that he will be on medication for the rest of his life. Later, Marnie tells Yazz to keep her mouth shut about Alfie's diagnosis, as she wants a second opinion.

Also today, Kim has managed to get herself to The Magic Bean to surprise Farrah with a congratulations card and present for her new job. But Farrah is feeling guilty after the kiss with Grace and snaps at Kim.


Friday

Marnie receives a warning about Alfie
Will she listen?


Marnie has hired another doctor for a second opinion of Alfie's illness.

Dr Spellman tries to explain Alfie's diagnosis to Marnie, and that by not acknowledging the voice in his head, she is slowing his recovery.

Meanwhile, Farrah makes Kim breakfast to make up for her behaviour the day before, but Kim realises she has lost the present she made for her. She leaves to go and find it.

Elsewhere, Cleo is stressed with wedding planning, with Joel and Myra being no help. When Cleo says she hasn't even found her wedding dress, Myra comes up with a plan.
