Connie Beauchamp returns and wastes no time in reasserting her authority, taking over the care of a patient in resus and pitching her idea for a trauma theatre to a sceptical Charlie. Ethan visits the spot where Cal died to pay his respects, and he unexpectedly sees Leigh-Anne - the girlfriend of his brother's murderer. A number of staff members come in to work hungover following a housewarming party at Alicia's new house

Connie makes her mark as she returns
But her big plans face opposition.

Connie is back and she wastes no time marking out her territory by making herself known in Resus and taking over an arresting patient that she reluctantly sees pass away. Charlie starts to be concerned when she asks about 'scrub trained nurses' and she pitches her idea for a trauma theatre. Charlie is sceptical – she needs to prove to him it will work.

Connie attempts to comfort Ethan by saying that a trauma theatre might have saved Cal, but Ethan scathingly dismisses the idea. When she shows Charlie an old operating theatre, he argues that the money would be spent better on people than equipment. Once again Connie uses Cal as an argument, which Charlie is furious about. But it's going to happen whether he likes it or not.

Meanwhile, after Ethan pays his respects at the spot where his brother Cal died, he comes across Leigh-Anne and gives her lift back to her worn down flat. Will they continue to grow closer?

Elsewhere, Alicia has got the keys for her new house and the gang convince her to have a house warming. The next morning, the party goers come in hungover.

Also this week, when Rash sees Gem flirting with a new porter, his jealousy leads him to invite Gem for a date, but Connie gets Rash to do a project for him and he misses their lunch date. When Gem confronts Rash about it, he tries to get out of it by lying – but digs himself into a hole.
