I think Martha was tenically declared dead at the time. And now Alisa is dead, I wouldn’t think it would make any difference.

I can't imagine Alf marrying Ailsa knowing that Martha was still alive, it is not in his character so I too think that Martha was delcared dead before he married Ailsa ..

Yes, a death certificate for Martha was issued after the police investigation held at that time she disappeared (we got to see the actual death certificate). So, Alf’s marriage to Ailsa was valid because Martha was ‘legally’ deceased when they married. Also, Alf couldn’t be considered a bigamist, because he wasn’t aware that Martha was still alive at the time he married Ailsa (Alf mentions that he didn’t find out that she faked her death till a few years later, when he received the letter from Martha).

TV Week has these H&A plot teasers:

    Far From Over.

Nina Gives Justin A Gut-wrenching Ultimatum.

The fallout from Ava's kidnapping intensifies for Justin this week when her mother, Nina, threatens to take custody of their child if he continues to date Willow. Who will he choose?

In emotional scenes in Home and Away, Justin's (James Stewart) predicament comes about after Nina (Zoe Naylor) learns of Ava's (Grace Thomas) harrowing ordeal.

The kidnapping, conceived by Willow's (Sarah Roberts) ex-boss Boyd, resulted in a fatal shooting at the hands of policeman Colby. Boyd was rushed to hospital, but he didn't make it.

"This wasn't an ordinary case for Colby," Time Franklin, 27, says of his character. "He made a choice that will have severe consequences, but it's one he would make again."

Now, the Morgan family, especially the young girl, are struggling to move on with their lives. But the situation gets even worse when Nina arrives in Summer Bay and demands answers from Justin - how could he let this happen?

Justin tries to calm the situation, but unintentionally makes it worse when he mentions Willow was the real target of the kidnapping. Nina is livid - his girlfriend put her daughter in danger!

"Boyd was only ever really after Willow," Tim explains "He was after what all criminals want: money, coupled with revenge."

Willow issues a heartfelt apology to Nina, but the damage has been done.

The distraught mother tells Justin she'll block access to Ava as long as Willow is around. Justin is furious, but a custody battle is the last thing Ava needs.

"Nina could quite easily take Ava away and that would make Willow deeply upset & guilty," Sarah explains. "I'm not sure if she could live with that."

In a tearful exchange, Justin and Willow accept their fate. Say it isn't so!

    Farewell Friend.

Is Ash Leaving Summer Bay For Good?

Robbo's shock return to town causes Ash to make an abrupt exit this week.

At the Diner, John (Shan Withington) and Marilyn (Emily Symons) are shocked when the ex-criminal walks in. No-one knows why Robbo was mysteriously pardoned for his crimes, leaving the Summer Bay locals on edge.

John approaches Robbo (Jake Ryan) and suggests he leave immediately - nobody wants him around. As they exchange barbs, Robbo's anger rises and he grabs John by the collar.

    Luckily, Robbo relents and leaves.

Outside, however, he's bailed up by Ash (George Mason). The mechanic demands to know why he was released.

"Robbo understands where Ash is coming from and doesn't want the conflict," Jake, 35, tells TVV WEEK. "Their interactions are becoming a bit more heartfelt and less macho."

Robbo, who finally has answers, blurts out the truth. He isn't Beckett Reid - it was all a cover. In fact, he's a federal officer named Ryan Shaw.

Ash is stunned. He's never forgiven Robbo for Kat's death and prayed he would end up in jail. Now, Ash will be forced to see him every day.

The next morning, Irene receives a phone call from Ash. He quickly thanks her for everything, before announcing his plan to leave town.

    Is this his final goodbye?
