As part of the soap's 35th anniversary celebrations, actress Annie Jones returns to Ramsay Street this week, only for her character to be left devastated when she is stood up by her new online lover, Richard.
After confiding in Dipi Rebecchi (Sharon Johal), Jane is forced to come to terms with the idea that 'Richard' may actually be a con artist who is using her for her money.
In scenes set to air later this month, Jane and Dipi begin an amateur investigation to find out who 'Richard' really is – but their detective work looks likely to land them in trouble.
When a dinner with Paul, Terese, and Lucy leads Jane to confront the truth about her relationship with Richard once more, she ramps up the hunt for her catfish only for it to lead to an unexpected suspect at Erinsborough High.
After taking up a job at the school, Jane discovers a love poem that has fallen out of student Richie Amblin's bag, raising her suspicions that Richie might be the real person behind 'Richard'.
When Richie reacts uncomfortably to questions about his personal life, Jane decides to put the schoolboy in detention so the pair can spend more time together. Will Jane's theory about 'Richard' be confirmed?
Neighbours airs these scenes in the week commencing Monday, February 17 at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5 (UK) and 6.30pm on 10 Peach (Australia).
