    AUST PACE SPOILER ALERT!

Roo's mum was supposed to have drowned, but last night we were told that her body was never found. Alf told Roo that he found out she was still alive when she wrote to him 'some years ago', but he decided to 'let sleeping dogs lie' & keep it to himself - so Roo is now the only other person who knows, at this stage. The timeline as to when Alf got her letter is a bit vague, but presumably it was after he married Ailsa? (Roo said to him something like "You didn't even tell Ailsa?"). I think we will get more info in coming days as Alf tries to give more details to Roo about the contents of Martha's letter/why she left etc etc. Of course, Roo isn't very happy with Alf at the moment.

[EDIT: I think Alf also said to Roo that he couldn't tell her at the time (he received the letter), because she was still a kid. So maybe it was before Ailsa.........?]

TV Week has the following H&A plot teasers:

    Get Out Of Town.

Roo Leaves Summer Bay In Search Of Her Mother.

Could the long-awaited answer to Martha's whereabouts lie in an old engagement ring?

It's the question at the front of Roo's (Georgie Parker) mind when her father, Alf (Ray Meagher), gives her a ring that once belonged to her mother, Martha.

With Alf and Roo's relationship seemingly in ruins, this gesture could be a huge step forward for the Stewart family.

"Roo is confused and angry that he doesn't want to reveal any more information about her mother," Georgie, 53, explains.

"Eventually, however, Alf gives Roo a family heirloom - Martha's engagement ring. Apparantly, she sent it back to him to put an end to all contact."

Upon inspection, Roo notices the ring box is marked as having come from a jeweler in Merimbula, on the New South Wales far south coast. While Roo wants to investigate, Alf fears no good can come of this quest.

"He feels Martha abandoned them and doesn't deserve a second chance," Georgie says.

The next day, Roo approaches her father and asks for his blessing to find Martha. She has to know what happened all those years ago.

Despite his reservations, Alf admits he wants Roo to be happy. And with that, she heads off.

Will she find what she's looking for?

    Second-chance Showdown.

Robbo is released On Bail - And Ash Is Ready To Strike.

She was determined to keep Robbo from jail. And now Tori's efforts have paid off - he's a free man. But he's not out of danger just yet when he comes to blows with Ash - again!

In Home and Away this week, the ex-crim is struggling to adjust to his newfound freedom. Fans will recall the judge delayed his sentence in light of his mental health problems.

Now, Robbo (Jake Ryan) is forced to remain in Summer Bay until his trial - and the locals aren't impressed.

"Robbo believes he deserved to pay for Kat's death and would rather be behind bars," Jake, 34, tells TV WEEK. "But he gets a lot of hostility in town, and it turns into a bit of a witch-hunt."

With tensions at an all-time high, policeman Colby (Tim Franklin) calls an urgent town meeting. He informs the locals Robbo will be staying with him and will be forced to wear a tracking anklet to monitor his movements.

Ash (George Mason) is livid. At the Morgan house, he confronts his ex-girlfriend, Tori (Penny McNamee), who had a hand in Robbo's release.

The local doc tries to explain her actions, but her words fall on deaf ears.

"Initially, her motivation to help Robbo was to stop Ash from doing something stupid," Jake says. "But throughout that, Tori learnt a lot about him and has seen his good side."

Ash takes matters into his own hands and challenges his nemesis.

Robbo agrees that he belongs behind bars, but he won't throw away his second chance.

Ash is outraged. Suddenly, he spots Colby and begins to concoct a devious plan.

"Ash decides to bait Robbo into giving him a reaction," Jake explains. "He wants to prove that Robbo is still the animal he believes he is."

Sick of his cruel taunts, Robbo snaps and pins Ash to the floor. Colby rushes over to pull the men apart. But instead of fighting back, Ash savours his success.

He has just proven to the police and the entire town that Robbo is still a danger.

Is it enough to send him to jail?
