    Exclamation EastEnders Spoilers 25th - 29th December 2017

It's official – EastEnders will reveal the last of Max Branning's dark secrets in the show's dramatic Christmas Day episode.

Max (Jake Wood) has recently gone public with his shocking scheme for revenge against Albert Square, but even now, his loved ones still only know the half of it.

Fortunately, Jane Beale helpfully left a voicemail message on Stacey Fowler's phone in her final episode in October, which revealed everything about Max. Jane mentioned how he was responsible for Steven's death and nearly killed her too.

This secret message now looks set to play a major role in the hour-long festive special, so brace yourselves for plenty of drama.

Upcoming episodes see Stacey (Lacey Turner) finally get her missing phone back, after Karen Taylor finds out about her son Riley stealing it to bring in money for the family.

Karen warns the boys to make sure the phone is returned to Stacey, who's very grateful to be reunited with it on Christmas Day.

Max and his daughter Abi (Lorna Fitzgerald) both spend December 25 with the Fowlers, so when Stacey plugs in her phone to charge it, tense scenes see it become a ticking timebomb.

As the full truth about Max's bad behaviour finally comes to light, show bosses have teased that his dramatic downfall will be on a massive scale.

The truth about Max has been tipped to destroy the Branning family forever, but as ever with EastEnders at Christmas, you'll just have to tune in on the night to find out exactly what's in store.

EastEnders airs an hour-long episode on Christmas Day at 9pm on BBC One.

Jane's message was that Max was responsible for Steven's death and that he left her to die in the fire.
