Emmerdale fans will finally get their chance to meet Bernice White's other daughter Dee Dee in a new storyline.

Bernice (Samantha Giles) is mum to 13-year-old Dee Dee, who currently lives in Australia with her dad Charlie.

Although Bernice and Diane Sugden have been known to take trips over to Australia to visit Dee Dee, she's never appeared on our screens – until now.

Young actress Mia Gibson-Reed has been cast in the role of Dee Dee, who's joining the show for a guest stint.

When Dee Dee comes to the village, Bernice doesn't make life easy for herself by pretending that she's come into money and is now rich.

Bernice even goes to the effort of preparing an extravagant breakfast for Dee Dee to keep up the charade, but a disapproving Diane isn't impressed by the deception.

Nicola King also opposes Bernice's lies, pointing out that it's all bound to end in tears – but clueless Bernice carries on regardless.

As Bernice continues to lie to her daughter, it's surely only a matter of time before she gets caught out for telling fibs.

How long can Bernice keep up the pretence – and would Dee Dee be interested in staying if she knew the real truth?

Good casting in terms of similarity to Bernice/Gabby, but rapid ageing of a character appears to have struck again. There's supposed to be almost three years between Gabby and Dee Dee.

What is the point of her arrival? IMO there is enough teens already.

She is not sticking around as things stand.

I'm a bit behind but if the Emma storyline is still ongoing, Gabby might confess something to her.

Could also be a storyline for Arthur. He was worried about Dee Dee replacing him when Gabby went to stay, so it could be worse for him with her actually being in the village (especially if her and Gabby do go around as thick as thieves.)

Good to put a face to a name in this case I think.

Have Laurel and Arthur met Dee Dee, Arthur might be smitten, his first crush
