There is too much influence today on pushing family together no matter how bad it gets all for the sake of family ..... one of the hardest lessons in life is to do what is right for those in harms way no matter who the so called family member is causing the grief. At times it can be a matter of life or death ....to sit with a ticking time bomb under any given situation is down right dangerous and niave . No person should be put in a situation driven by others misguided intentions that leads to a circle of constent pain of the same old same. At times no matter what the pain it is better to walk away. If that's what it takes for that wake up call.... then lesson learned ... and stop living life like a flock of sheep. Whinge over ....

Which is why if Robert is too awful to be near Seb, then so are Rebecca’s own family, because they’re no better. The things they’ve done are just as bad as the things Robert has done. And look how Lachlan turned out - not exactly a great advert for that family or a role model for Seb to look up to - he is an entitled psycho. Robert is a sh*tbag yes, but he’s genuinely trying to be a father to his son, that’s obvious.
