    Exclamation Alan Ellis (Blair McDonough)

Former Neighbours star Blair McDonough makes his first appearance on Home and Away later this month.

The actor, best known for his days as Ramsay Street's Stu Parker, has landed a guest part as Alan Ellis – the father of Mason Morgan's new girlfriend Beth.

When Mason (Orpheus Pledger) runs into Beth and Alan in upcoming scenes, he's stunned to realise that she hasn't told her dad about their relationship.

Seriously-ill Beth feared that her parents would want her to focus on her health and thought it best to stay quiet, but she makes amends by arranging a brunch for Mason and her family.

Sadly, the gathering doesn't go well when Mason lets slip the reason he was in hospital, which sparked his first meeting with Beth.

Unimpressed by the new guy in his daughter's life, Alan intervenes by telling him not to see Beth anymore – but she has other ideas when she hears about his interference.

When Beth refuses to stop dating Mason, will Alan and his wife Jackie have to back down?

Home and Away airs these scenes on Thursday, October 26 at 1.15pm and 6pm on Channel 5.

Neighbours fans can get a first look at Stuart Parker's return in a brand new Neighbourshood video.

It was announced last week that Blair McDonough is reprising his role as Stuart for a guest stint later this year.

The actor played Stuart from 2001 to 2006 and the character is probably best remembered for his friendship with housemates Toadie Rebecchi and Connor O'Neill.

Stuart will be heading back to Ramsay Street for a celebration involving one of his previous Ramsay Street cohorts, but further details are being kept under wraps for the time being.

In the video above, Blair talks to host Ben Nicholas (formerly Stingray Timmins) about returning to Neighbours after a whole 12 years away.

Along with Stuart, we already know that Izzy Hoyland and her daughter Holly are returning, as well as Paul Robinson's old flame Dakota. However, Ben hinted at even more comebacks in the video above.

"2018 is going to see a whole plethora of guests coming back to Neighbours," Ben said. "We've got heaps of guests coming back."

Blair was most recently seen in fellow Aussie soap Home and Away, where he played the guest role of Alan Ellis – the father of Mason Morgan's late girlfriend Beth.

The actor – who initially rose to fame after finishing as a runner-up in the first season of Big Brother Australia – previously spoke about a possible Neighbours return back in 2012, admitting that he had pitched the idea to the producers.

"I did actually float the idea of Stu making a return to the Neighbours producers," he said. "They were too far down the path with the storyline at that point, though.

"Neighbours was my university! I didn't go to uni or get the chance to do all those crazy things as a kid, so that's what Neighbours was for me."
