Pigs will fly before Ben comes round to Brody. I don't think I've ever hated a character as much as I do Ben, apart from Mr Over-used, but he'd been pushed into nearly ever storyline and I had plenty of time grow to dislike him...

Next week on Home and Away in Australia—there’s heartbreak as time runs out, and who is the young thief with a close relation in the bay?

Tragedy is about to strike the bay over the next week, as young Beth Ellis (Anneliese Apps) finally loses her battle with heart disease.
With time running out for an increasingly weak Beth, who is on the waiting list for an urgent heart transplant, boyfriend Mason (Orpheus Pledger) clears it with her doctors to treat Beth to a romantic outing to the beach. After a slap-up meal, Mason presents Beth with a promise ring and tells her how much she has changed his life.

Beth then gives Mason her own promise gift, a seashell, explaining that he is the best thing that’s ever happened to her.

Unfortunately things quickly take a turn for the worse as Beth becomes breathless, and Mason rushes to get Beth back to the hospital.

But sadly, time has run out for the 21 year old, and Beth passes away shortly afterwards.
Mason joins Beth’s heartbroken parents Alan (Blair McDonough) and Jackie (Rachael Coopes) as they say goodbye.

Elsewhere in the bay, when a stranger in the bay causes mischief, it leads to a shocking revelation for one of the bay’s longest-standing residents.
VJ (Matt Little) and Hunter (Scott Lee) are studying outside the surf club when a boy tries to rob them. They give chase and are able to tackle him down, but everyone is taken aback when the thief, Ryder (Lukas Radovich), is eventually revealed to be Alf Stewart’s grandson—the son of Alf’s long-lost daughter Quinn Jackson!
BTTB exclusively revealed a few months ago that Quinn would be returning to the show for a guest stint after 22 years, with us later confirming the introduction of Ryder—who will act as the catalyst for Quinn’s return in the coming weeks.

…and Ziggy (Sophie Dillman) finds herself in trouble when it appears her drinks have been spiked. Whilst Brody (Jackson Heywood) tries to help a clearly drunk Ziggy, she attempts to push him away.
Unfortunately Ziggy’s dad, Ben (Rohan Nichol), arrives just at the wrong moment and misconstrues the situation—leading to a punch to the face for poor Brody!

Oh no!!!! Poor Beth (and Mason).

I`ve never been more saddened to be proved wrong in spoilers. I had hoped there would have been a happy ending for them both. I suppose I should never second guess H&A.

Irene's Lies.

Has She Put The Town In Danger?

Crazed rapist Mick is back in Summer Bay - and Irene is to blame.

Taking pity on her son Mick (Kristian Schmid) after he's bashed, Irene (Lynne McGranger) puts him up in a hotel in the Bay. However, she lies to Ash (George Mason) and VJ, assuring them Mick is gone from their lives forever.

"She's between a rock and a hard place," Lynne, 64, explains. "She blames herself for what's happened to Mick, but she's also loyal to her friends."

Mick insists to Irene he's committed to starting over. But when Irene isn't looking, he opens her wallet and steals a photo of baby Luc.

Talking to the pic, Mick says, "Daddy's home." Not creepy at all right?

Irene's guilt at lying to her friends begins to eat away at her, especially after a surprise lunch is organized in her honour.

Later, Irene goes to the hotel and discovers Mick has disappeared.

"She just knows things are going to hell in a hand basket," Lynne says of Irene's plight.

Then, we see Mick offering to help Maggie, who has a flat tyre.

She has no idea who Mick is. Nor does she know anything about his terrible history.

Mick changes the tyre, but cuts his hand in the process. Maggie then offers him a lift up to her house so she can bandage his hand.

Has Maggie just made the biggest mistake of her life?


Running Into Trouble.

A Young Criminal Turns Out To Be Related To A Summer Bay Local.

An attempted robbery in this week's episodes of Home and Away leads to a surprise discovery about the thief - he's Alf's grandson!

From the moment he lands in Summer Bay, the youngster causes chaos. He breaks into the surf club and steals soft drinks, swipes cash and even tries pick-up lines on Coco.

Strewth - what a headache for Alf! He and John report the surf club theft tp police, unaware of the identity of the culprit.

The next day, the thief tries to rob Hunter and VJ at the surf club, but is soon nabbed by the boys.

They take him to Alf, and the teen bandit drops a bombshell - his name is Ryder (Lukas Radovich) and he's Alf's grandson.

"Alf reacts with disbelief," Lukas, 22, tells TV WEEK. "He doesn't understand who Ryder's mother could be."

Ryder soon reveals his mum is Alf's long-lost daughter, Quinn. Talk about a blast from the past - Quinn was last seen in the Bay 22 years ago!

Alf discusses the validity of Ryder's claims with Roo.

Meanwhile, an angry Ryder - who refuses to give anyone Quinn's contact details - rifles through Alf's things. Eventually, he steals money from his wallet.

"He's a bit of a renegade," Lukas says of his character.

The teen uses the cash to buy drinks for a wary Coco.

Roo later finds Ryder and realises the troubled teen is running from something and doesn't want to go back home. What is he hiding?


In Like Quinn

Here's Where Quinn Fits In.

- American woman Quinn Jackson showed up in the Bay in 1995.

- It was discovered she was Alf's daughter. Alf and her mother had met while he was in Vietnam during the war.

- Quinn plotted revenge against Alf for walking out on her mother. After fighting with Alf, Quinn left the Bay.


Ziggy's Drink Is Spiked!

Can Her Friends Help Her Downward Spiral?

Drunk and drugged, a vulnerable Ziggy is led down a seedy back alley. There, a stranger looms over her ominously.

This is the terrifying scenario she faces after her drink is spiked in Home and Away this week.

The wild child's friends, Olivia and Brody, have tried to help her once. But Ziggy (Sophie Dillman) shunned their assistance.

Now she's without a friend, disorientated, and possibly about to be assaulted.

"This is a really heavy storyline for Ziggy," Sophie, 24, explains to TV WEEK.

Fans of the series will recall Ziggy's sister, Coco, found out she was keeping a big secret.

Before arriving in Summer Bay, their mother, Maggie was injured when a bunch of tearaway teens broke into a school. Ziggy was one of the teens.

"She's been so ashamed she was involved," Sophie says. "Now her guilt has driven her away from the Bay."

When Olivia and Brody try to bring Ziggy home, she refuses to return to the Bay.

Instead, she takes to a city bar to drown her sorrows.

Alone and vulnerable, she's surrounded by leering men.

"She's hit rock bottom," Sophie says. "She doesn't want to admit she needs the help of her friends."

When Ziggy leaves her seat to go to the bathroom, one of the men slips something into her drink.

Later, a man leads the feisty blonde through the back entrance.

Ziggy now finds herself alone in the alley with him.

"She has no idea what's going on," Sophie explains. "That's a really scary situation for Ziggy to be in,"

Can Olivia and Brody rescue the runaway before it's too late?
