Emmerdale has revealed who's stalking Rhona Goskirk – and it's not who fans may have been expecting.
Rhona (Zoe Henry) is facing fresh turmoil as "somebody" has been breaking into her house to freak her out, leaving many viewers convinced that the culprit must have been her evil estranged husband Pierce Harris.
Just when it looked like there was no real mystery here, Tuesday's hour-long Emmerdale episode threw a huge spanner in the works, as it was confirmed that Pierce definitely couldn't be the stalker.
This was made clear when Rhona's ex-husband Paddy Kirk went marching off to Pierce's office to confront him over the stalking, only to hear that he'd actually just returned from a business trip in Amsterdam and had a cast-iron alibi.
The revelation left Rhona's loved ones wondering whether she was imagining the stalker incidents – either through fear, or even being back on painkillers again.
However, once Rhona was alone at home, we saw the stalker break in yet again – and it was none other than Pierce's mysterious mother Martha. Who'd have thought it?
Martha made her first appearance in Emmerdale two months ago in the build-up to Pierce and Rhona's wedding, hinting at a dark secret from her son's past.
Jonathan Wrather, who plays Pierce, recently confirmed that Martha would be returning to further explore his villainous character's backstory. But is she following Pierce's orders by stalking Rhona, or is she acting alone?

Speaking earlier this month, Jonathan explained: "Pierce's mother Martha has been introduced and she's harbouring some secret, but we don't know to what extent.
"She's coming back into the show and she is so charming and so nice. There's something slightly mysterious about it. We don't know what her secret is yet. It could be something very big – it could be something similar he's done in the past, or it could be something else.
"So do we believe what Martha said, or do we believe Pierce?"
