EastEnders is about to get kink-y.

No, Big Mo isn't coming back to flog stolen Anne Summers goods on Albert Square, but the tabloids have reported that Olivier Award-winning West End star George Maguire will be joining the show for a handful of episodes in the near future.

Maguire won the Best Supporting Actor trophy for his role as Dave Davies in Sunny Afternoon, a musical based on the music of The Kinks.

As well as winning prestigious awards, the musical also got an equally impressive four stars from Digital Spy.

We also interviewed Maguire back in the day, and asked him to name his favourite songs by The Kinks.

EastEnders had a big shake-up recently, as the show's boss Sean O'Connor was confirmed to be leaving the soap effective immediately. Former boss John Yorke is serving as temporary replacement.

In a statement, O'Connor said "I've had an amazing time at EastEnders, working with the editorial staff, cast and crew at Elstree has been an absolute privilege.

"They are the kindest, most loyal and hard-working team in the business."

EastEnders continues on Monday (June 26) at 8pm on BBC One.
