Emmerdale Spoilers 5th - 9th June 2017

Monday

Marlon is baffled when he wakes up in a nightdress in Lydia's bedroom and wonders what happened between them. Soon afterwards in the café, April is devastated to learn that Carly has left for good and angrily blames Marlon for it.

Later, Lydia mentions that a drunken Marlon came to the house looking for Laurel the night before. When April and Vanessa overhear this and the mention of Marlon and Laurel's kiss, they're both furious.

Marlon desperately tries to explain that there was no kiss and that's not why Carly went, but will he manage to make Vanessa believe him and convince April that he's not to blame for Carly's departure?

Meanwhile, the Bartons are struggling for cash after being rejected for another loan, leaving Finn worried about how they're going to pay the rent. Even Emma's trip to the bank proves futile.

Elsewhere, Belle asks Debbie for advice and she tells her to act on her crush.

Also today, Kerry is in her element.


Tuesday

Finn privately reveals to Leyla that he blew all the money in Australia, leaving her with a dilemma over whether to keep the secret.

At a loss over what to do next, Finn decides to solve his financial problems by becoming an escort.

Meanwhile, now the staff at the factory know about Nicola's phobia, pranks are coming thick and fast. One joke at Nicola's expense goes too far when she ends up tackling the animal to the ground, only to discover who is inside. Believing Jai to be behind the prank, Nicola starts slating him but he overhears and fires her.

Elsewhere, after a few drinks, Jimmy becomes loose-lipped and reveals that Rakesh started the Mill fire. The shocked villagers encourage him to call the police and report it as arson, which drunk Jimmy goes ahead and does.

Also today, Charity grows suspicious.


Wednesday

The police arrive at the factory to question Rakesh about the fire. How can he get out of this?

Meanwhile, Lachlan and Belle agree to spend time together.

Elsewhere, Marlon is surprised when he finds a letter to April from Carly.

Also today, the Sharmas their best to quell gossip.

Finn goes on his first date as an escort, but during it he has second thoughts.

Emmerdale could finally resolve the Mill Cottage fire storyline next week as blabbermouth Jimmy King reveals who the culprit was.

Rakesh Kotecha (Pasha Bocarie) caused havoc in the village last summer when he set fire to Mill in an insurance scam that went wrong, but he's still never faced any justice for his actions.

Nicola and Jimmy King have been protecting Rakesh's secret for a while now, but that all changes next week when Jimmy gets drunk at The Woolpack following an argument with his bossy wife.

Becoming indiscreet as the booze starts to do the talking, Jimmy spontaneously blurts out how Rakesh was to blame for the Mill blaze – causing much shock as the news sinks in among the other punters at the pub.

When the villagers encourage Jimmy to do the right thing by calling the police, he proves to be very easily influenced and dutifully follows their instructions.

The next morning, Jimmy wakes up hungover and is horrified when he realises what he's done.

Jimmy is particularly fearful over how Nicola may react to the truth coming out, but it's too little, too late when the police arrive at the factory to question Rakesh.

Nick Miles, who plays Jimmy, explained: "Jimmy tries to stop Nicola from going to work so that she doesn't find out what's going on, but she won't listen to him! He's scared of Nicola as they've been keeping Rakesh's guilt to themselves for a while now. They're both now accessories in the case because they've kept it a secret, so they're in big trouble.

"Over the next few weeks, it's going to be what Nicola and Jimmy's relationship always is – fiery, tempestuous but they're going to get there in the end. If they don't end up in prison! It's looking difficult, that's for sure."

With the police onto him, can Rakesh find any way out of this mess, or will he be punished at last?

And when Jai Sharma tries to make his sister Priya realise that she has to stop covering for her husband, could she turn to someone surprising for a shoulder to cry on?

Meanwhile, Emmerdale's Nicola King pushes her luck too far with a huge rant about her boss Jai Sharma.

Nicola (Nicola Wheeler) finds herself subject to teasing and childish pranks at the factory next week following the surprise discovery that she has an unusual phobia of beavers!

One villager in particular takes things a step too far by dressing up in a beaver costume to terrify Nicola, prompting her to give chase and unmask the culprit.

Believing Jai (Chris Bisson) to be the mastermind behind the prank even though he's not in the costume, Nicola loudly slates him with some harsh words – unaware that he's in earshot and accompanied by an important client.

When Jai fires Nicola, she resorts to blackmail by threatening to expose the truth about the Mill Cottage fire – but he still won't budge. However, when blabbermouth Jimmy finds out what's going on, it's not long before Rakesh's arson secret is exposed regardless...

Emmerdale airs these scenes on Tuesday, June 6 at 7pm on ITV.
