Coronation Street looks set to finally reveal Ken Barlow's attacker next week, as the soap legend is struck by some sudden memories of the night he was pushed down the stairs.
Ken (Bill Roache) was brutally targeted by a mystery culprit and rushed to hospital at the end of March, but ever since regaining consciousness, he's been unable to recall who was responsible.
After weeks in the dark and becoming suspicious of almost everyone around him, Ken finally starts to remember next week when a decanter of whisky gets knocked over at Number 1. This starts to jog his memory about the night of the attack at last.
Another clue later comes to light when Ken pays a visit to Adam, Daniel and Sinead's flat and is horrified to recognise a pair of trainers that he spots there.
Needing someone to talk to, Ken tells Roy Cropper that he remembers seeing the exact same trainers when he was pushed, meaning that the owner must be his attacker.
First on Ken's hit list is confronting his grandson Adam (Samuel Robertson), and it seems that he's just in time as he pays him a visit just as the Scottish charmer is planning to leave town. (Very suspicious!)
Spotting the offending trainers, Ken asks Adam if they're his, but will his answer confirm him as the culprit?
Soon afterwards, a visibly-scared Ken manages to get his hands on the trainers and he confides in Peter by revealing that he now knows who tried to kill him.
Not prepared to take this lying down, Ken calls the police – but will the culprit finally be charged and brought to justice?
Coronation Street airs these scenes on Friday, May 26 at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.

Coming up on Coronation Street, Brian Packham faces a dilemma when Cathy Matthews makes it clear that she wants them to be a couple.
The pair both have feelings for each other, but have stopped short from acting on them as they're worried about hurting Roy Cropper's feelings following his own split from Cathy (Melanie Hill).
Next week's episodes see Cathy egged on by her kebab shop co-worker Gemma Winter, who's noticed the romantic spark between her and Brian in the past.
Following Gemma's encouragement, Cathy goes ahead and asks Brian (Peter Gunn) out on a date – but it leaves him totally torn as he's still concerned this would be disloyal to Roy.
Under pressure to make a decision, will Brian choose happiness with Cathy or keeping his friendship with Roy going strong?
