'End of the Road'
As Grace is living with Sam, Connie and Hugo have become a little family of their own. However, when Connie arrives to the ED, she learns that Hugo's father Jim wants to take Hugo back and move to Edinburgh. She offers to pick Hugo up from school and help him pack. Hugo is upset, and in her frustration, Connie tells him she's not his mum – causing Hugo to run away.
At the same time, policeman Phil is called to the ED when Noel spots a pickpocket in reception. He tries to give chase but collapses. Elle treats him and Phil can't help but turn on the charm and try and impress her.
Feeling guilty, Connie looks for Hugo everywhere but cannot find him. When Jim rings her, she admits that Hugo has escaped and she doesn't know where he is. Jim panics and goes searching Hugo at the ED, where Phil offers to help.
With the police involved, they soon find out Hugo has been seen getting into a truck close to Brent Docks. Connie chases Hugo and finds him. Phil finds Connie and Hugo, but arriving at the port, he collapses...

Meanwhile, Lily returns to work after her accident to be closer to Iain, but just as she musters up the courage to ask him out, work takes over. Does Lily have the time to take a chance on romance?
Elsewhere, Jez thinks his relationship is over when Mickey starts acting awkwardly.
