Monday

Jack's situation takes another turn for the worse.

Meanwhile, Denise tries to sign on to benefits at the job centre, but is turned away without any help as she hasn't made an official application. This means that Denise faces another evening with no food.

Elsewhere, Michelle has a successful job interview, but confides in Sharon about how it wasn't for a teaching position.

Also today, Ian isn't impressed when Jane suggests he should join a slimming club, but some wise words from Woody might make him reconsider his bad attitude.

Finally, Carmel faces a backlash from the stall holders when they hear about her interview at the council.


Tuesday

Kim isn't pleased when Denise fails to show any support for the meeting she's holding about the community centre closing down.

Later, Denise visits the job centre again as she now has her completed application for benefits, but it's not long before she receives even more bad news. Denise realises she might have to swallow her pride when she's advised to visit a food bank instead.

Meanwhile, Martin isn't happy with Stacey for letting Kush help with Arthur, but Stacey retaliates by giving him some home truths over his recent treatment of Kush. Could this help to unite the two old friends again?

Elsewhere, Jane is stunned when Ian goes for a run after attending his slimming club. Is he finally on the right track?

Also today, Whitney struggles to focus when she receives a letter from Lee's lawyer about a divorce.


Thursday

Whitney tries to distract herself from her divorce news by heading out shopping, but she forgets her purse.

Woody heads off to find Whitney in order to hand the purse over, but when he arrives at the shopping centre, he's shocked by what he sees.

Meanwhile, Denise has no choice but to visit the food bank. When she arrives, she's taken aback to see that Cora Cross works there. Feeling embarrassed, Denise flees without asking for any help.

Elsewhere, Ian continues his efforts to lose weight.




Friday

Mick has returned to Albert Square, but will he discover the truth about what's been going on in his absence?

Meanwhile, when Kush tries to move on from Denise with a date at The Albert, Kim resorts to sabotage by trying to make his new love interest feel unwelcome.

Elsewhere, Max gives Jack a reality check.

Also today, Denise is offered a helping hand, but will she accept it?

Max Branning's twisted manipulation continues on EastEnders next week as he desperately tries to keep his plans on track.

The Albert Square schemer was triumphant on Friday when his brother Jack lost it with Charlie Cotton, punching him in the middle of the street.

Max (Jake Wood) was responsible for Charlie's recent return in the first place as he manipulated Dot into making contact with him.

Although he's working under the pretence that he's concerned for Jack and how he's coping, Max actually wants to see his brother suffer through losing custody of little Matthew to Charlie. Harsh!

Despite Jack's latest outburst, next week's episodes see Max finally suffer a setback, leaving him fearing that his plan to get Matthew away from Jack will fall apart.

Needing to get things back on track quickly, Max pays a mysterious visit to Charlie. But what does Max have planned, and how far will he go to get his own way?
