Meanwhile, Stacey rebukes Martin for continuing to ignore Michelle. Still keen to make peace, Michelle comes to find Martin at the allotments and they reminisce over the past, but will this be the moment they finally put their differences behind them?

Elsewhere, Abi's habit of labelling everything she owns is annoying her housemates, prompting Ben to plan revenge. Ben's plan backfires when Abi comes up with a new cleaning schedule for everyone to follow.

Also today, Steven goes to desperate lengths to get his way.

    Friday

It's the day of Ollie's birthday party, but Linda isn't able to attend.

Here's a first look at the aftermath of Charlie Cotton's EastEnders return as he catches up with his grandmother Dot – and reveals his plans.

Charlie (Declan Bennett) made a surprise return to Walford in Friday night's episode, when he warned Jack Branning that it was time for a serious discussion over baby Matthew's future.

When Monday's episode begins, Jack is still reeling from Charlie's reappearance as he fears the worst over what it could mean for his family unit.

Over at Dot's, meanwhile, Charlie has a big catch-up with his grandmother about everything that's happened since he left Albert Square in 2015.

Of course, the big question now is what Charlie has planned next for Jack and Matthew – and whether his intentions are really all they seem. Either way, his comeback is sure to ruffle feathers...

Charlie – who fathered Matthew with Ronnie Mitchell – was last seen on EastEnders in September 2015, when he was terrorised out of Walford by Vincent Hubbard.

Mystery surrounded whether he was alive or dead until November that year, when Roxy took a phone call from Charlie which confirmed that he'd survived his encounter with dangerous Vincent.

EastEnders airs these scenes on Monday, May 8 at 8pm on BBC One
