    1. Promiscuous Jez has been out all night and wakes up in bed with a 17-year-old lad called Kalen. But as Jez gets his bearings, the voice of Kalen’s mother calling up to him alerts a shocked Jez – it’s Elle! And Jez has to make a getaway fast!
    2. A husband accidentally traps his wife in a blazing fire when he torches a building while she is secretly taking pictures inside. As an inferno takes hold, the full horror of what he has done hits home…

    5. Jay and Joanne arrive at the scene of the fire and Joanne rushes into the blaze against Jay’s orders. Will she be a hero and get everyone out alive or will she pay for her rash actions with her own life?
    6. Worried about her son’s sex life, Elle opens up to Jacob who has some words of advice for her. She gives Kalen a very awkward birds and bees talk which leads to Kalen coming clean to his mum about his sexuality. But what causes her to react so badly?
    7. When there’s a tragedy on the wards, there is a sense that the pressure on the workforce among all of the proposed curs could be to blame. Meanwhile, the situation hits someone very hard as the enormity of what has happened hits.
    8. Jez is forced to lie to Louise about where he was the previous night but will his already suspicious partner get to the truth and will it prove to be the end for them?
    9. Sam asks Lily to put in some extra hours and, already frustrated with him, Cal wades in and accuses him of bullying and intimidating Lily to pick up the slack of the workload his cuts have left. But when Lily turns the tables and tells Cal that he is the intimidating one, will he regret his outburst?
    10. Elle can’t believe it when she discovers that is was Jez who slept with Kalen and, before getting her head straight, she wades in for a confrontation. Will their working relationship be destroyed forever?

We've had a glimpse at how the shocking death of Cal in Casualty will affect the department and his brother Ethan in particular, who Cal died protecting – but now a new teaser trailer has given fans a bit more of what to expect in the months to come.

Showing a darker side of Ethan, the trailer reveals that he'll be out for revenge after his brother's death.

"You're determined to finish this," Alicia (Chelsea Halfpenny) says in the teaser. "No matter who you destroy to get even."

Fans knew that a regular Casualty star would be bowing out of the show, but the identity of the victim as Cal was kept a secret. He was stabbed to death by Scott Ellison, seeking revenge on Ethan for allowing his father to pass away.

The teaser trailer also previews Cal's funeral, which is sure to leave fans devastated alongside Ethan (George Rainsford).

"Ethan's wracked with guilt, and he doesn't know how to cope with that," Rainsford said about the storyline previously. "Ethan has a very strong moral compass, so he wants justice – and he has trust in the system that will bring him that justice.

"In the episodes that follow we'll start to see the morals challenged, and it all gets darker quite quickly."

The trailer is a teaser of what's to come when the full summer 2017 trailer is released next Saturday, where we're hoping to see more of what we can expect as the ED deals with Cal's shocking death.

BBC One have dropped the full length trailer for what's to come on Casualty this summer – and it's looking pretty dramatic.

The show has been taking a break before the next episodes hit, but those kind folks over at the Beeb have given us lots to whet our appetites, including a teaser trailer that aired last week.

But now the full-length clip has been released and we can see the full extent of the aftermath of Cal's death and its impact on Holby City Hospital ED – especially his grieving brother, Ethan.

The new trailer shows the staff struggling to deal with Cal's shock murder, after he was stabbed to death by Scott Ellison, who was actually targeting Ethan after vowing revenge on him for prioritising fellow medic Lily's care and letting his dad pass away as a result.

Trying to come to terms with his brother's death, the trailer shows a darker side of Ethan as fans can expect to see him out for revenge.

Other storylines in store previewed in the trailer's three-minute clip include some pretty emotional scenes as we see Cal's funeral (get the tissues ready) as well as Dylan struggling with work in the wake of Cal's death, leaving him questioning his abilities as a medic.

Don't worry, though, it's not all doom and gloom. Viewers can also look forward to a bit of light relief in the upcoming episodes, with lighter stories like Iain and Lily's budding romance – there's even a "that's what she said" joke in the trailer for good measure – and some speed-dating silliness.

And what was that look between Connie and her ex Sam? Could the former couple be about to rekindle their flame?

Go ahead and give the trailer a watch, and then get excited, because Casualty returns to BBC One next Saturday (June 3) at 8.25pm.

Casualty will be kicking off its next series with a special two-parter episode set in France.

The BBC medical drama aired its series finale last night (July 29) with a ground-breaking episode filmed on a single camera.

But fans will be pleased to know that they haven't got too long to wait until it returns to screens – with more special episodes being lined up to mark the occasion.

Shown over two weeks, the episodes will be set in France will centre around Dylan, David, Louise and Alicia as they head to a refugee camp in northern France to offer medical assistance.

Once in France, Dylan will find himself bonding with twelve year old Sanosi and his sister Mariam at the camp, but later finds himself with some very difficult decisions to make over their future.

The episodes were filmed in were filmed in Fishguard and Cardiff and have written by Dana Fainaru and Dominique Maloney.

Speaking about the two-part episode, Will Beck – who plays Dylan – said: "It was so nice to do a story set away from the hospital, the look and feel is more filmic.

"The main thing however was the importance of telling this story, which has been slightly forgotten in the news recently, and realising, when you boil it down to one human story, just how relevant it still is."

The drama won't end after the France special though, as the third episode into series 32 will also be an extended special of 70 minutes as the results of Scott Ellison's inquest are finally made public.

Sharon Gless is gearing up to swap Hollywood for Holby as the actress is joining the cast of Casualty when the series returns later this year.

The soap may have aired the last in its series last night, but viewers have already been given something to look forward to in the form of the multi-Emmy and Golden Globe winning actress' arrival.

Cagney & Lacey star Sharon Gless will join the cast of Casualty for an episode in the upcoming series as Zsa Zsa Harper-Jenkinson, described as a "maestro of surgery" and a former mentor to Dylan (William Beck).

Speaking of her guest role, Sharon Gless shared her excitement at taking part in a British TV series.

"I'm a rabid Anglophile," she said. "Some of our finest American TV is British. Zsa Zsa is a wonderful character and I hope you all enjoy her too."

Gless is best known for her role as Christine Cagney in Cagney & Lacey, which followed the adventures of two kick-ass female police officers in New York City (ahead of its time, we know).

In fact, there's even a new Cagney and Lacey in the latest NYPD series Brooklyn 99:

After Cagney & Lacey ended in 1988, Gless went on to enjoy massive success in television, landing recurring roles in hit US dramas such as Burn Notice, Nip / Tuck, not to mention the US adaptation of Queer as Folk.

Gless has recently finished filming the most recent TV adaptation of The Exorcist and has been nominated for an astounding 11 Emmys in total, so we dare say that Casualty is extremely lucky to have her on board.

Casualty will return to BBC One this Autumn.

Casualty's latest trailer has just come hurtling into view, and it provides a solid four-minute window into what we can expect from the new series.

And the biggest moments come in the form of our first glimpses of returning character Sam Nicholls. After last being seen riding off into the sunset with Tom Kent, she's now back – and ruffling a few feathers.

Much of this extensive preview sees some of the team spending time helping refugees in France, which is part of a two-episode commencement to the autumn series.

Shown over two weeks, the episodes will be set in France and centre around Dylan, David, Louise and Alicia as they head to a refugee camp in the country's north to offer medical assistance.

Once in France, Dylan will find himself bonding with 12-year-old Sanosi and his sister Mariam at the camp, but later finds himself with some very difficult decisions to make over their future.

Cue that iconic music, because Casualty has just unveiled its action-packed winter trailer.

Of course, it just wouldn't be Casualty without Charlie Fairhead leading us into the holidays on season 32, and the BBC soap looks like it won't disappoint in the coming weeks.

There is love, loss, and just the right dosage to keep viewers hooked as we tread those hallowed hospital halls.

Things look set to go from bad to worse for Connie Beauchamp as she struggles to battle her aggressive heart tumour.

An angry Charlie chastises Connie for trying to go it alone, but she insists: "This is my tumour, my decision."

Dylan Keogh is set to continue his worrying spiral into alcoholism, and the trailer shows him hitting the bottle hard.

After a troubled run, Ethan is to get his wish to become the next clinical lead, however faced with a mutiny among his staff and some unfavourable headlines, it won't be easy for him.

Elsewhere, there are the usual graphic Casualty scenes, including a motorcycle accident and what looks like an acid attack.

However, among all the drama and death, the promo also gives us a first-look at Sunetra Sarker's return as Zoe Hanna.

Back on our screens for the first time in over a year, Zoe last left a heartbroken Max (Jamie Davis) as she headed off to America — we take it that didn't work out.

She isn't the only familiar face though, as fresh from her brush with death on Holby City, Rosie Marcel's Jac Naylor will be popping by the Emergency Department.

Eagle-eyed viewers may also spot the return of Pam St. Clement as Sally Hodge, reprising her role from the show's 30th anniversary special.

That being said, there is a warming winter glow of festive spirit interspersed between the trials and tribulations of the ED.

Ending with that Charlie and Duffy kiss, it looks like Casualty is still as good as ever even 31 years later.
