Neighbours legend Toadie Rebecchi gets an unexpected blast from the past next week as his older brother Shane arrives in Erinsborough.
Nowhere Boys and House Husbands star Nicholas Coghlan has been cast in the role of Shane, who's taking over the part from previous actor Greg O'Meara.
Shane (Ryan Moloney) hasn't been seen in Neighbours since he appeared in a brief run of episodes in 1995, but he's now returning to the show as a regular character.
Toadie can't believe his eyes when he finds Shane looking for him on Ramsay Street, as they haven't seen each other for over 20 years and they've barely stayed in touch.

When Toadie questions why his sibling has turned up out of the blue, Shane has to come clean by admitting that he's been sent by their mum Angie.
Angie is keen to know how Toadie is getting on following his split from his wife Sonya, so she's put Shane on strict instructions to get the inside scoop and report back to her.
Sure enough, Shane soon finds himself right at the centre of the Rebecchis' messy marriage break-up when he spots Sonya sharing a secret kiss with Mark Brennan at Lassiters Lake.
When Shane spills the beans on what he saw, all hell breaks loose on Ramsay Street, with Toadie and Steph Scully both angrily demanding answers over what's going on between Sonya and Mark.

Neighbours bosses recently announced that Shane is heading up a brand new family for the Aussie soap.
Hot on the heels of his return, producers will be introducing Shane's wife Dipi and their two daughters Yashvi and Kirsha.
Dipi's spirited younger sister Mishti Sharma will be completing the set, marking the beginning of a new era for the Rebecchis and Ramsay Street.
