Neighbours legend Toadie Rebecchi gets an unexpected blast from the past next week as his older brother Shane arrives in Erinsborough.

Nowhere Boys and House Husbands star Nicholas Coghlan has been cast in the role of Shane, who's taking over the part from previous actor Greg O'Meara.

Shane (Ryan Moloney) hasn't been seen in Neighbours since he appeared in a brief run of episodes in 1995, but he's now returning to the show as a regular character.

Toadie can't believe his eyes when he finds Shane looking for him on Ramsay Street, as they haven't seen each other for over 20 years and they've barely stayed in touch.

When Toadie questions why his sibling has turned up out of the blue, Shane has to come clean by admitting that he's been sent by their mum Angie.

Angie is keen to know how Toadie is getting on following his split from his wife Sonya, so she's put Shane on strict instructions to get the inside scoop and report back to her.

Sure enough, Shane soon finds himself right at the centre of the Rebecchis' messy marriage break-up when he spots Sonya sharing a secret kiss with Mark Brennan at Lassiters Lake.

When Shane spills the beans on what he saw, all hell breaks loose on Ramsay Street, with Toadie and Steph Scully both angrily demanding answers over what's going on between Sonya and Mark.

Neighbours bosses recently announced that Shane is heading up a brand new family for the Aussie soap.

Hot on the heels of his return, producers will be introducing Shane's wife Dipi and their two daughters Yashvi and Kirsha.

Dipi's spirited younger sister Mishti Sharma will be completing the set, marking the beginning of a new era for the Rebecchis and Ramsay Street.

Toadie Rebecchi's older brother Shane will arrive on Neighbours next week - but the reason for his visit to Erinsborough look set to be shrouded in mystery.
Teasers for the upcoming storyline say that Shane will be seen "inviting the Rebecchis, the Kennedys and the Cannings to a lunch at Harold's to deliver some news that will change Ramsay St forever". But what could he have to say?

Nicholas Coghlan's arrival as Shane comes ahead of a major expansion for the Rebecchi clan with many additional family members joining later this month.
Shane's wife Dipi is to be played by Sharon Johal. And in their first television roles, newcomers Olivia Junkeer and Vani Dhir play daughters Yashvi and Kirsha respectively. Drama graduate Scarlet Vas has been cast as Dipi’s spirited younger sister Mishti Sharma, who also makes the move to the big smoke from country Victoria.
Actress Lesley Baker is also set to make a guest comeback as Toadie and Shane's outspoken mum Angie.

"Shane Rebecchi is one of the great untapped characters from Neighbours history. I’m delighted to welcome him back to Ramsay Street along with his beautiful wife, two children and sister-in-law. it’s a great new chapter of the Rebecchi family," said Jason Herbison, Neighbours’s executive producer.
"It's great to be expanding the Rebecchi family further. There'll be drama and intrigue from the moment they arrive,” added Channel 5 Commissioning Editor, Greg Barnett.

Neighbours' Dipi Rebecchi resorts to violence in a shock football game row.

    Poor Yashvi is left humiliated.

    http://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/neig...cchi-violence/

Dipi Rebecchi takes her motherly support of Yashvi way too far on Neighbours next week.

The cafe owner couldn't be more proud as she watches Yashvi take part in an important football match, but the extent of her enthusiasm soon becomes a major problem.

In the build-up to the big game, Yashvi's dad Shane (Nicholas Coghlan) warns the Rebecchis to keep their composure while they watch, not wanting his nervous daughter to be distracted from the task at hand.

This is especially important because – unbeknown to Yashvi – a talent scout will be in attendance and is eager to find out whether she has what it takes to play at a professional level.

Unfortunately, Dipi (Sharon Johal) doesn't seem to pay much attention to Shane's advice and her overly loud antics from the sidelines quickly begin to embarrass Yashvi.

To make matters even worse, Dipi also ends up exchanging some harsh words with fellow attendee Jake Hendra, who's the father of an opposition player.

Later on, the outcome of the match rests entirely on Yashvi's shoulders as she's asked to take a shot at the goal which would win the game for her team.

As troublesome Jake can't resist heckling Yashvi, furious Dipi sees red and charges straight at him, punching him in the face.

The commotion from the spectators understandably distracts Yashvi, who messes up the kick and loses the match for her team.

Already left horrified by what she's done, how will Dipi deal with the inevitable backlash from her embarrassed family?

Neighbours airs these scenes on Thursday, April 12 at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5.

Neighbours hints shock death victim is a Rebecchi in worrying Christmas Day scenes
Will Dipi's worst fears be realised?

    https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/nei...-family-death/

Neighbours continues to tease a shock Ramsay Street death next week as Dipi Rebecchi makes an alarming prediction.

The Aussie soap has announced plans to kill off a fan favourite in the near future, keeping the unlucky individual's identity under wraps.

Next week's episodes see the mystery addressed on screen for the first time as Dipi (Sharon Johal) braces herself to lose someone very close to her.

As Ramsay Street gathers to celebrate Christmas Day at a festive carol concert, Dipi bonds with returning character Liz Conway (Debra Lawrance) at the cafe.

Discussing her experiments with tarot cards, Dipi confides in Liz about how two past readings accurately predicted the deaths of two people close to her.

After being encouraged by Liz, Dipi decides to do another reading but is alarmed when the same death card combination comes up.

Dipi is sure that tragedy lies ahead for someone, just like the previous two times – and her fears are sure to spark speculation that Neighbours is about to lose one of the Rebecchi family.

Neighbours first announced plans to kill off a character on its Facebook page two weeks ago.

Stefan Dennis, who plays Paul Robinson, later told Digital Spy: "It’s going to be devastating, that’s the only thing I can tell you. It’s going to change the world.

"We have just finished filming it all and it is so devastating that it rocked almost everybody in the cast. It was a very, very difficult two weeks of filming, really difficult. It is literally devastating."

New spoiler pictures show the likes of Shane, Yashvi, Toadie and Sonya celebrating Christmas – but could it be someone's last?

Neighbours airs these scenes on Christmas Day at 10.15am and 6.05pm on Channel 5.

Neighbours' Shane Rebecchi turns violent with Gary Canning after Dipi horror
Gary's bad behaviour has big consequences.

    https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/nei...ning-violence/

Neighbours' Gary Canning faces Shane Rebecchi's fury in another Ramsay Street showdown next week.

Gary (Damien Richardson) faces a backlash from the Rebecchi family after accidentally attacking Dipi on New Year's Eve.

Dramatic scenes airing today (December 31) see Gary try to turn the tables on his dodgy acquaintance Kev, but his efforts go horribly wrong when a case of mistaken identity sees him accidentally attack Dipi instead.

The fallout from the incident continues into next week, as hapless Gary tries to apologise to Dipi (Sharon Johal) for putting her in hospital.

Gary is relieved when he sneaks over to Number 32 to share some of his trademark desserts as a peace offering and Dipi accepts his gesture.

Gary even ends up bonding with Dipi over their mutual love of cooking, so he returns the following day with a recipe book for her.

Sadly, this time Gary's efforts backfire badly as Shane (Nicholas Coghlan) catches him at the house and unleashes his anger.

Making it clear that he doesn't want Gary anywhere near Dipi, furious Shane manhandles him off the property and hurls him onto the street.

When Amy Williams intervenes and tends to Gary's grazes, he's hopeful that she'll forgive him for what he did to Dipi.

Sadly, there's another devastating blow for Gary when Amy insists that she can't forgive him for betraying her trust. With tensions still running high, could the Dipi incident continue to haunt Gary in the weeks to come?

Neighbours airs these scenes on Monday, January 7 at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5.
