Hollyoaks has hinted that there could be a second tragedy in the aftermath of Amy Barnes's death as her young children Leah and Lucas go missing.

Show bosses have already announced that Amy is being killed off in an explosive spring storyline and the dramatic scenes will air after she ties the knot with her partner Ryan Knight next week.

After Amy decides to give Ryan another chance when he pops the question again this week, it's all smiles and happy tears as the pair get hitched in a fairytale ceremony.

As ever though, a huge secret looms over the happy day as Amy and Ryan are quietly planning to leave for America with Leah and Lucas immediately after, despite the fact they haven't run the decision by an oblivious Ste.

Fans will have to tune in to see how the story unfolds, but we can reveal that Amy will be dead by the end of the week, sending shockwaves around the village.

But while news of Amy's death is bound to hit several characters hard, Leah and Lucas are undoubtedly going to be the worst affected and the aftermath will see them disappear from the Lomax household, where they are being looked after.

Horrified after discovering the youngsters are missing, Leela and Zack launch a frantic search party to find them without having to cause Amy's grieving loved ones any further upset.

However, when Zack eventually locates them, he finds himself being able to relate to a distraught Leah - having lost a family member himself when his sister Lisa went missing. Will Zack be able to bring the children to safety? And how will they cope without their mum?

Monday

It's the day of Amy and Ryan's wedding. Ryan gives Amy a print-out of their boarding passes and tells her they could leave for America tonight. Mike and Ryan try to convince Amy that moving would be for the best, but the guilt hits them when they find out how much Ste is doing to help with the wedding.

Later, everyone congregates at the church ready for the ceremony and Amy looks radiant as she walks down the aisle towards a teary Ryan. At the reception, Mike shakes Ste's hand, proud of how he's behaved, but he also warns him not to mess up.

Soon afterwards, Ryan's uncle DS Thorpe starts the speeches.

Meanwhile, Scott is flapping about what to wear to the wedding, so he asks hungover Mercedes to go shopping with him and be his +1. James sees them heading to the shops and guesses that Mercedes was involved in Scott's fraud. He orders them to pay him back or he'll go to the police.

Later, James is covering for Marnie at The Dog and refuses to serve Scott and Mercedes at the wedding reception.

Elsewhere, Tegan jokes with Leela that she fancies Armstrong. Leela is surprised when Armstrong asks her on a date.


Tuesday

Alone with Ste, Leah and Lucas, Amy is still torn about moving.

Tears stream down Amy's face as she listens to Ste reading to their children. What will she decide to do?

Meanwhile, Mercedes steals the keys to James's flat from The Dog while he's not looking. Mercedes and Scott then let themselves into James's home, looking for things to sell so they can pay him back with his own money.

They're also intrigued when they find a key and then discover a matching trunk. Mercedes and Scott can't believe their luck when they unearth James's embarrassing audition DVDs from his Law School Drama Society.


Wednesday

Diane and Tony are disturbed by a noise downstairs and think they're being burgled.

Tony leads the way, but what will he find?

Meanwhile, Mike finds Ryan in The Loft. Ryan confides in Mike about his and Amy's future.


Thursday

James has been locked out of his flat all night after Mercedes stole his keys. A locksmith lets James into his flat, where he finds some incriminating evidence proving he's been burgled.

At the same time, Scott wakes up next to Mercedes after a sleepover. They're both overjoyed when they get a bidder for one of James's court wigs that they stole and have put up for sale.

On their way to meet the buyer, Tegan tells Mercedes and Scott about Amy. Once back at Diane's flat, Scott is hurt that no-one thought to call him about Amy.


Friday

Leah and Lucas have run away from the Lomax house, so Leela and Zack team up to find them.
