Emmerdale Spoilers 27th - 31st March 2017

Coming up on Emmerdale, Carly Hope packs her bags after the upcoming drama involving little April Windsor.

As we revealed recently, Carly (Gemma Atkinson) totally freezes next week when April chokes on a sweet while they're planning Marlon Dingle's birthday party.

Although April is fine once Marlon (Mark Charnock) rushes to the rescue, they're both shocked by Carly's complete lack of action and wonder why she's behaved so strangely.

Even though Marlon and April eventually forgive Carly, she's plagued with guilt in the aftermath and makes plans for a secret getaway – convincing herself that she doesn't deserve to be around the family anymore.

Having recently been offered a job abroad, Carly packs a suitcase but gets caught out when Marlon and Bernice (Samantha Giles) interrupt her.

Carly makes the excuse that she's off to some hen celebrations, but will Marlon and an eagle-eyed Bernice believe her?

Meanwhile, Emmerdale's Doug Potts is crushed when his daughter Laurel Thomas stubbornly refuses to forgive him for his recent comments about Ashley.

Doug (Duncan Preston) made a big mistake when Ashley went missing last week, carelessly suggesting that it might be kinder if he slips away suddenly.

Monday's episode sees Laurel (Charlotte Bellamy) share a treasured moment with Ashley when she takes him back to the care home and they dance together, both losing themselves in the music.

Pleased to see that there are still elements of the old Ashley in there, Laurel is on a high when she comes home – but her mood suddenly turns sour when she finds Doug there.

Although Doug is apologetic, Laurel accuses him of not caring about Ashley and makes it clear that she won't be forgiving him anytime soon. However, when little Arthur later falls ill, the timing for this argument couldn't be worse as Laurel needs all the help she can get right now...

Monday

Laurel is relieved that Ashley is safely back at the care home. There's also a heartfelt moment when he and Laurel dance together, both losing themselves in the music.

However, it's not all good news for the family because Laurel is still struggling to forgive Doug after he made a crass comment about Ashley last week. Will their father-daughter relationship ever be the same?

Meanwhile, Bob receives some devastating news.

Elsewhere, Harriet realises how much pressure Cain is under when she spots him comforting Debbie.


Tuesday

Debbie notices that Faith is still upset over her distant relationship with Chas, so she tries to fix things herself by setting them both up to get together.

Will Debbie's peace-making efforts be a success?

Meanwhile, Harriet manages to find Cain - just before the police do - with a bag full of stolen phones. She's livid to find herself involved in his scheme, but Cain cheekily offers her a cut, which she refuses. Cain warns Harriet not to confess, leading to an argument between the pair.

Elsewhere, Arthur becomes unwell.


Wednesday

Debbie goes ahead with her plan by leaving Chas and Faith alone together to iron out their differences.

Chas and Faith are both brutally honest as they have a heart-to-heart and it eventually looks like they've made up. However, when Faith pulls away as her daughter tries to hug her, Chas feels rejected all over again. But why did Faith pull away, and can she fix things before it's too late?

Meanwhile, Arthur becomes even more unwell, but Laurel stubbornly decides not to turn to Doug for help – still angry over his comments last week. Arthur also tries to save Laurel any more stress by lying that he's fine.

Elsewhere, Jai gets angry.





Thursday

The Thomas family surprise Laurel with a family talent show to cheer her up and Doug hopes he's making progress with his daughter.

At the same time, Bob is with Ashley at the care home, but Ashley takes a turn for the worse when he has a violent coughing fit and finds blood on his hands.

Meanwhile, Jai connects with a young woman called Nell at an NA meeting when she reminds him of Holly. However, events take another twist when Nell vanishes with Jai's wallet.

Elsewhere, Chas misunderstands recent events with her family.




Friday

Laurel is devastated to find out that Ashley is ill and she seeks comfort from Doug.

Will Ashley pull through?

Meanwhile, Jai reaches out to Nell despite her stealing from him and it's clear that she reminds him of Holly. But can Nell really be trusted?
