EastEnders has hinted that there's finally a light at the end of the tunnel for Bex Fowler, with Star 'Linzi' Bragg making a surprise reappearance.

Bex's bullying ordeal reached new heights in Friday night's double bill (March 17), as she was attacked and humiliated by Madison and Alexandra in the school toilets.

The attack was so vicious that Bex's nightmare finally caught the attention of the teachers, prompting her to finally open up about all of her recent problems.

Sadly, the school ultimately failed to punish Madison and Alexandra as they denied everything and were backed up by Bex's so-called friend Louise Mitchell, who also feels intimidated by the two girls.

Bex's teachers have told her there's nothing they can do for now due to the lack of evidence, although they'll be keeping a close eye on Madison and Alexandra to see if they slip up.

Despite the injustice, there was some good news for Bex when she caught up with her old friend Star, who was quick to offer her support.

Star hasn't been seen on EastEnders since April 2016. Her main storyline was her relationship with Jay Brown, which ended in tears when he discovered that she was underage.

EastEnders' younger cast members have been celebrating the return of Star on Twitter tonight, hinting that it wasn't just a blink-and-you'll-miss-it appearance.

Will Star help Bex to stand up to the bullies? And could she share any more scenes with Jay?
