No, she didn't know she was pregnant until she went into labour.

I think I remember her taking a test that was positive and she told Imran but then had her period and assumed she wasn't.

I got the impression that it was not Dr Gaddas who wrote the original prescription. So maybe Laura somehow conned the hospital. Perhaps it is just me thinking this the sort of story a Soap would do.
