Just how do you create a sink hole in somebody's garden without anyone noticing anything? And what is Ray up to?

I think the only answer to this question is 'by using a large amount of imagination and suspending all credability'. The engineer said it might have been a sewer collapse, but I don't think large sewer pass under peoples houses or gardens, normally they run down the centre of the road. There must be a very large pile of earth somewhere nearby, not exactly the sort of job you could do using just a spade. That engineer must be very brave or very stupid, as he said himself "It is impossible to guarantee when the actually collapse will happen". It could have happened while he was still under there excavating.Still David should look on the bright side, he could fill the hole up with water and he will have a swimming pool.

I think, once again, Covid is preventing the sound of the actors to come out clearly enough for hard of hearing people if they whear a mask.. do not know but can imagine this being the reason ... obviously, in real life the masks should not be removed until in a car or at home .. well, here in Spain anyway

That hole was not that deep. It only appeared to be deep because Platt was standing at the top.

I must admit that David doesnt seem to totally trust Ray (quite right), so therefore I'd do a double check on the developers status. I know it was the 'surveyer' that said they went bust and the main man later died but still he should double check.
