I have always understood that Platt is an ungrateful puny runt.

Who did Bertie contract measles from, could Maria not have got it from the same?
Could Maria not have passed it on to Bertie?
    I haven't a clue how measles works.

It's true we don't know where Bertie got it from, but Corrie made a point of showing Maria with Bertie a few days before she contracted measles. Though I believe the incubation period is about 10-12 days and I don't think it was that long before that we saw the contact between the two. So, yes, you are right, that Maria could have got it from wherever Bertie got it from.

Surely that after over 10 years of no contact, a solicitor is not needed for the divorce for Tim and Charlie .. both can apply through postal system and no solicitor needs to be involved ...

There is no such thing as an automatic divorce. You would still have to go through the courts, but if both parties are in agreement and there is no problems with custody of children or division of property it would be a fairly simple straightforward matter and would not really need a solicitor to be involved, but some people feel nervous about going through court procedures without professional legal help. There are organisations that could help at much lower fees though.

I am going back now 27 years or so, I was living in a different country to my now ex-husband .. think I applied for the divorce via post, he had to respond ... was done in a matter of months at the cost of then 45 quid or thereabouts ... no property or kids involved so very straight forward .. just like Tim and Charlie .. no solicitors involved in my case, just the court who granted Decree Nisi and then Decree Absolute .. of course, that might have changed by now

Geoff was really sinister in Friday's episode. Yasmeen's comment about his magic act being a bit rusty was unfair but everything after that seemed to involve Geoff trying to get back at her for being "disrespectful", in such a nasty, threatening way. I was hoping Michael and Grace would notice the atmosphere between them but they don't know either character very well and they have their own problems to work through.
It's not a coincidence that Geoff's a DJ and magician - both those jobs involve showmanship, being the centre of attention and everyone thinking he's wonderful. Even working as a waiter allows him to be charming and outgoing. I really want him to be caught talking down to Yameen in public and everyone turns on him but I doubt that will happen.
