Everyone seems to have forgotten that Phelan owes many of them thousands of pounds, yet there he is renovating a house, going to make him thousands of pounds - well from the insurance company now anyway.
Perhaps Phelan and Vinny/Harvey formed a Ltd company so the debts were the company's and not Phelan's personal debt. Altho' he still owed Jason a lot of money which he swore to Eileen he would repay, yet she could not wait to move into the house when it was finished rather than sell it to repay Jason. How did he acquire this house did he always own it or was it part of the development, but if so surely it would have been sold off to cancel his debts. When Vinny disappeared he was pleading poverty and he certainly has not made enough money since then to buy it as he never actually does any work except for a few minor repairs. The house just appeared when it was revealed that Andy was still alive, with as far as I recall no mention of how Phelan acquired it. - As you say no attention to detail.

You ask too many questions! You'll be wanting to know next why the police have completely dropped their investigation into who robbed Underworld and destroyed the roof. Why, for example, did they not follow up on Todd's claim to have distributed his card to all the businesses in the area where the sewing machine was found? Or how Johnny can get out of his obligation to pay his workforce. Or why the Mayoral election was solely between two people living in the same street and none of the major political parties put up candidates.

Please leave your brain behind when watching Corrie.

Think this applies to all soaps, not but Corrie but I appreciate not everyone watches all soaps

I'm sure you're right, Perdy. EastEnders was (is) just as bad. I don't watch any others, so I wouldn't know. I do realise that these are dramas and not real life documentaries and so some allowances have to be made, but quite often you have to suspend your belief in reality too much to really be able to enjoy what's happening. It just gets aggravating!

Same here, I do not watch all soaps but the ones I do watch have all similar storylines and they all at times seem very far removed from reality

Why was Moira speaking in a funny voice to Colin in the shop. If I heard someone speaking like that I would burst out laughing.
Sent from my desktop computer using my fingers on the keyboard.

If I was was not asking these questions then I am now. - Unfortunately my brain is too firmly attached and I cannot find an 'off switch'. - I used to watch because I enjoyed the stories, now I realize my enjoyment comes from looking for inconsistencies in the plots. We are now entering into original Crossroads territory where 'it's so bad it's good' only thing missing is the shaky scenery, but I am sure if they put in some effort this could be added.
