Read that producer Kate Oates is being trolled by some viewers, altho' I think viewers are entitled to comment on the programme, I don' t agree with abuse. She is quoted as saying. [I]"People are talking about the show, which is great"[I] but is it for the wrong reasons? Corrie is unlikely to improve in the near future if she cannot acknowledge there is anything wrong with it.
I think what you've said is interesting, and very true. I didn't know she was being trolled, but I can understand why, if she can't see there is dissatisfaction with the production this year.
Two Corrie forums I read/participate in, both have members, some of who have said they are considering dumping it, always due to the unreal story-lines and also lack of continuity/attention to detail with earlier story-lines compared to present ones not following suit.

I think all the good work Kate did with Emmerdale, she thought she was top of the world, believing all the media hype, award wins and could do only good things also with Corrie but the soaps are very different and she needs to see the storylines are not making viewers happy so to stay watching instead putting them off

There is a lot of criticism over the Robert cancer storyline all over Social Media. Yes, it's worth doing the story to highlight the problem, but getting a consultant to see you on the ward followed by a scan and an operation all on the same day just makes it unbelievable and not what happens in the real world, so the problem is not really highlighted at all as it doesn't work like that.
Absolutely. I don't live in the UK any more, but I am aware from reading the press the NHS queues are not reducing.
As I posted a couple of days ago:
It sounded more like a Specsavers advert. The urologist said, "I'd like to get you down to surgery within the hour."
There again back to sarcastic mode, they do live in Weatherfield and not the UK.
The cancer storyline is good but too soon after the Will storyline and with Robert just out of prison plus more crying Michelle again is not a good thing, maybe giving it to another character like Peter or Tim would have been better and writing it better and believable
Gutted that Moira has been sacked from the medical centre, I loved her scenes in there. And all for the Colin and Norris nonsense
