    I thought Steve had been tested for it and was negative, so it would be unlikely to skip a generation. I could be wrong though.

    According to the NHS website, Mitochondrial Disease can only be inherited from the mother.

    Although it is inherited from the mother rather than the father, it isn't necessarily inherited at all. It can be a genetic mistake in the individual.

    I thought tonight's episode was a little weak. I think the problem with the Oliver "Mitochondrial disease" storyline is Simon Gregson's acting is very poor, however I did think Ben Price put in a good performance tonight.

    The episode was saved by Evelyn - Maureen Lipman.

    I was wondering that too yesterday ... guess they need to leave Johnny and Jenny in France as borders are closed .... if they want to include some reference to coronavirus..
