I really hope Corrie is going to show some "moral backbone" and we are going to see Gary punished for his past behavior, but I fear that as usual he will somehow get away with it. Perhaps his confession to Maria will be seen as enough for his redemption. If the police investigate properly none of his story will stand up to scrutiny, they will find that Derek is not a successful business man and did not have the money to buy the factory. Surely Gary had to buy the factory first before signing it into Derek's name, so there should be a record of that. I hope that the police are not as stupid and incompetent as "Soap Police" are usually portrayed as being.
