If you want an idea of just how insane it was, read the "Mr Bad" and the first part of "Peak of Popularity" section.

Even Eastenders doesn't go this mad, though it has Phil as a feared hard man gangster with a worldwide reputation, so not so far off

This seems to be the "Maddest, Baddest" Soap ever. I have never heard of it, presumably it was only shown in Australia. Makes Eastenders sound like cbeebees.

Oh no, it was shown over here in the early days of Sky, but it was indeed a bit wacko. A far cry from Neighbours.

I find it hard to believe that the Corrie producer and scriptwriters really believe this story about Stephen and his roof box will be taken seriously. Surely they must know, like the rest of the world knows, that tonight's offering was complete and utter cobblers.

    Good comedy

I laughed and decided, the script writers should move to writing comedy, coz they sure as hell can't be taken seriously 🤣🤣

I really think you are understating how completely pitiful it was. The fact that Todd Boyce couldn't act his way out of a wet paper bag certainly does not help. Don't get me started on that grating accent. For the first time in many years I am thinking of stopping watching Corrie. I have seen better in a Primary School Nativity.

Stephen impressed me. He must have carefully wrapped those sewing machines to make sure thay didn't make a noice when they were trying to lift the 'coffin'

The worst part of this episode, was how they teased us into thinking that it was all going to be over, and that Stephen was off to jail. For a moment I thought we were going to be subjected to that old Soap trope where he opened the box and the body was gone. Thank goodness we were spared that.
