Someone should tell Tyrone that what is said in these meetings, should stay in the meeting.

I'm not really up to speed with apprenticeships for 16-18 year olds, but I am sure they must be dealt with through and overseen by local education authorities or education trusts as they are set at different levels leading to different qualifications ranging from GCSE to degree level. You can't just go and set yourself up in your dad's shop!

Platt did in his nan's shop.

I am impressed that after a few months in the Junior Chokey, Max can now almost speak normally.

Is Cassie safe in the same house as Hope ?

Claire Sweeney is good at playing a sly, manipulative, deceitful liar.

Alan Halsall is good at playing thick as two short planks Tyronne but he has had many many years of practice

I haven't watched it in weeks. I scroll through the episodes on Hulu & none of them have even interested me at all.

Different times. Apprenticeships for 16-18 year olds are now a part of compulsory education which it wasn't in his step-father's day.

When I served a 5 year apprenticeship in a very large engineering company I do not think the education authorities had anything to do with it, unless you choose to go the night school. Not sure if the government contributed to the company, not something I ever thought of at the time. When you finished your apprenticeship you could carry on working there indefinitely.

I don't know how old you are SoC, but, as I said above, they were different times. I'm assuming the school leaving age was 16 when you went into your apprenticeship. Leaving age is now 18, so that if you don't continue with a full-time academic education after the age of 16, you have to take up an apprenticeship which is overseen by the local education authority or trust.
