What worries me most is that they have had feed back saying how "authentic" it is, so I imagine they think they are doing a great job. It shows that they did not start of with a clear view of beginning, middle and end and that they are making up this story as they go along.

If that was my husband I would hate him with every fibre of my being and I would be glad to be free of him .

Yes, that seems to happen a lot in Soaps. The story as originally envisaged probably has a finite life and is sketched out in advance. However, the story (or the actors involved) get a lot of good feedback and the producers are very reluctant to let the story go, so they spin it out beyond credulity. We saw it in Corrie with Pat Phelan and in EE with Deano Wicks, amongst others. They then get to the point where, as you say SoC, they have to make it up as they go along.

Yes! And sometime they seem to forget details they have written earlier or contradict themselves, so lose even more credibility.

Nina must surely win best newcomer at next soap awards. The way she flounces around the cafe is hilarious

Good to see Cathy and Eileen putting their pieces of the "Geoff jigsaw" together at last. I can understand Tim to an extent; after all no-one wants to think their father could be abusive or controlling, and Sally will probably agree with him, but everyone else needs to be more objective.
Also good to see Nina getting involved in a teenage storyline. I like her scenes with Roy but she hardly wants to hang out with her 60-something uncle all the time.

Do we ever see her feet? She seems to float over the ground rather than walk on it.

Oh dear till the end of the year----I do not need to see or hear what Tim's mother suffered with Geoff or any other female that had to deal with him---let the writers go forth in the story to get Geoff jailed by gathering Yasmeen's evidence!
