Yes, but any police officer doing so must show their warrant card. Not sure Craig did.

It wouldn't matter if Gary knows, to follow procedure he probably has to show his warrant card otherwise a lawyer could throw it out.

Graig ....i am very law abiding but living near this guy is too much. He is permanently on duty i am surprised he has any friends. Cannot wait to see his face when he realises its Faye

About the pub that's what I was thinking. Carla is related to Johnny and its Jenny and Johnny that own it so he has no rights to demand that Carla leave.
