Ken said he tried to commit suicide in 1990 after he lost everything, his wife, his business, following his affair with Wendy Crozier. What business did Ken have? I thought he worked on the local paper at the time and that Wendy was his colleague.

Yes, I thought that about Ken?s business. I racked my brain but couldn? t come up with one. Yes, he was editor of the Weatherfield Gazette and a teacher before that. They should research before making stuff up.

I can actually remember Ken's suicide attempt and Bet arriving on the scene to talk him out of it in her unique way. I can't believe it's been 30 years... I can't remember him having a business either but I wasn't watching it regularly at the time. Still, well done to the writers for bringing that up and allowing Ken to relate to Peter, to some extent. He's right, he would have missed out on so much if he'd gone through with it.

Ken tried to overdose after his split from Deirdre when his affair with Wendy Crozier was discovered .. I think Bet Lynch stopped him .. but I do not remember much about it now .. was a long time ago. Surprised the scriptwriters remembered

I hope Elaine stays around too and that Yasmeen gets professional help.

Bored with Todd, he was unpleasant at times before but now they made him evil and I wish they had not...

Perhaps he meant he lost his job as editor as a result of his affair with Wendy, after a new owner took over, and made him resign after he missed a meeting because his mind was not on the job. He became even more bitter when Wendy got the job of editor on less money. - Life is a bitch!

Personally I don't think they have done a very good job of 're-casting Todd or Summer. I just cannot associate. the new Todd with old Todd. It's not that I dislike new Todd. In fact I would have been happy to have him from the beginning, I just find him too different. The new summer actress is 6 years older than the previous Summer and the way she plays her now is about the same 6 years older. The character has just aged to quickly.
