Ali and Ryan apparently come to blows and one of them is meant to die .. no idea if this is true but I read that a while ago ...

Everyone was telling Eileen what Pat was and she just would not listen to the point of almost being Pats stooge. Then in the five minutes she realises he is a killer the first thing she does is try and kill him, which makes her in my books as bad as him.

Sebs hair is now becoming epicably weird.

David Platt couldn't even beat Sean Tully.

    It was a ridiculous storyline

Sophie asked Roy if she could have a coffee instead of that stupid Americanism, could she get. I hope this is the beginning of the end of that ridiculous phrase on English tv.

Yes, I am so in agreement with you on this subject. It is grammatically incorrect too.
I remember someone saying that when their customers used that incorrect phrase, "Can i get a coffee?" the owner always replied, "No, you're the customer. It isn't self-service, I will get it for you."
It's too many people influenced by American TV.

I'm surprised Roy has never commented on it (as far as I know) - he's usually very much against the Americanising of the English language.

Don't get me started on Americanism. We gave them this wonmderful language, they should learn to speak it correctly. Words like Data, Yogurt and Aluminium. It drives me round the bend!

Perhaps it was Roy who said, "No, you're the customer. It isn't self-service, I will get it for you." I can't remember exactly where I heard it.
